AUBURN, Wash. -- Like all religions, the Sikh faith is steeped in tradition. One of the most revered is the carrying of a Kirpan, a sword or dagger, at all times.

Nothing wrong with a Sikh carrying a knife. I had a Sikh come to my defense at a checkpoint in India, when I'd been carrying.

"Article 58-1a, twenty five years... What did you get it for?"
Gulag Prisoner: "For nothing at all."
Gulag Chief: "You're lying... The sentence for nothing at all is 10 years"

Jesus told his disciples to buy swords. Now hopefully Christian kids will be allowed to carry guns, or at least Braveheart style Claymores.
