    2016 Iowa GOP Favorability Ratings

    http://images.businessweek.com/bloom...stionnaire.pdf

    Favorable/Unfavorable

    Paul Ryan: 75/14 (+61)
    Rick Perry: 64/23 (+41)
    Scott Walker: 49/10 (+39)
    Marco Rubio: 54/16 (+38)
    Rand Paul: 59/24 (+35)
    Mitt Romney: 65/30 (+35)
    Ted Cruz: 52/18 (+34)
    Ben Carson: 41/8 (+33)
    Mike Huckabee: 59/30 (+29)
    Bobby Jindal: 41/14 (+27)
    Jeb Bush: 50/28 (+22)
    Rick Santorum: 52/30 (+22)
    John Kasich: 17/7 (+10)
    Mike Pence: 10/10 (0)
    Rob Portman: 9/10 (-1)
    Chris Christie: 35/45 (-10)

Keep in mind that favorability ratings don't amount to much. The same poll has Romney in first in Iowa (Rand Paul in third), and least-favorable Christie (-10) with three times the support of Rubio (+38) (6% to 2%).

I was hoping his numbers would be better than that. 24% unfavorable seems too high.

    For Iowa... that's pretty high
There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

I don't get why Paul Ryan is such a darling over there.

I dunno, I don't see as many negative articles about him as with most. He's only the first choice for 8% though.

Wow, they actually put Ben Carson in this poll, it looks like he sucks a bunch of supporters away from Huckabee, but it's to early to tell for sure.

He's the establishment dark horse right now. Christie had that bridge business, and Bush has bushels of baggage with his name; Ryan is keeping quiet and clean.

    That is not good.
    Hope Rand's ratings improve soon.

anything above Huckabee should be considered a net positive at this point in time. (in IA)

(not that we should strive for better)

Fozz, is that you? Only three politicians polled have a higher favorable rating than Paul's 59%.

His unfavorable ratings are not THAT bad tbh. It still IS 2014, Republicans STILL DO have a $#@!ty rep no matter if Rand is different from them. Just give it time though.
