Thread: What are you playing?

    What are you playing?

I'm not really a frequent gamer, but I just had to create a gaming thread because I recently finished playing through The Walking Dead by Telltale Games. Hands down, best game I've experienced. It's a point-and-click, story driven game that isn't what it seems. The damn thing keeps getting into your emotions and by the end of it I was... emotionally compromised. And by that I mean a blubbering wreck. No other game has ever affected me like that.

Anyone else played this game? What are you currently playing?

I don't really play games but I do have that Age Of Empires 3 game that has The Warchiefs and Asian Dynasties expansions. I've only played it a couple of times but if I were in the mood to play a game for an hour or so then that would be it. Only because I had the first two releases of 1 & 2 and liked those. I like The Warchiefs expansion and that's rteally the only one that I've played.

Riven & Myst were good too. I liked those.

I didn't think they had servers running either. Who knew? That's really an awsome game. I think it's better than 3 except not as visually stunning.

The thing about online playing is that it's too similar to U.S. foreign policy. They just want to throw up a bunch of buildings in a hurry and go tear stuff up.

Hah The game actually survived after all these years and is now in a period of revival. Recently (the past two years) there have been tournaments with prize pools of 15k, 20k, and 30k $. There's a new upcoming tournament with a prize pool of 120k$ . In fact, AoE II has never been more alive than it is right now.

On steam, Microsoft officially released an Age of Empires 2 HD version (minimal changes, laggy matchmaking), but that's not a very competitively oriented server. voobly.com is where most of the good players play But there also are lobbies where new players play.

For me, (someone who has played all the games in the Age of Empires franchise) AoE2 is definitely the best and remains the most popular of all of them.

AoE in general is all about being the unquestioned monarch of a town. Villagers and military fight, live, and die by your command

    Lord of the Rings Online.

If you are into Tolkien then this is a free ticket to his world. It is FTP. Eventually you will spend a few ducats. You don't have to. If you like fantasy Lord of the Rings it is a bit amazing for such an old graphics engine game.

To add. The ole lady and I play this game from Nov. - Feb. Sales for expansions go on in November. We are on our second set of duo's. At our 50's and headed to Moria.

We are just Tolkien fans and this is a fun world to romp around in.

I'm a former gamer. I had to quit because it was literally taking over my life, like a drug.

I become highly nostalgic when thinking about Counter-Strike and WoW, though.

Yeah, I try to stay away from online games that have communities, because there's a social element to them that can eat into your real life social life. I guess some people can do it, but I tend to get too invested. I can usually keep it under control if I stick with solo games because there is no pressure to play anytime outside your own schedule.

I'm really excited to get my new copy of Sim Theme Park. DS is buying a used Gold Edition for me for Christmas since he read about the new patch.

No, I'm not kidding. I have the game running on every Windows OS from Vista, all the way to Windows 10...even 64-bit. Although it's not flawless, it's definitely playable.
Based on the idea of natural rights, government secures those rights to the individual by strictly negative intervention, making justice costless and easy of access; and beyond that it does not go. The State, on the other hand, both in its genesis and by its primary intention, is purely anti-social. It is not based on the idea of natural rights, but on the idea that the individual has no rights except those that the State may provisionally grant him. It has always made justice costly and difficult of access, and has invariably held itself above justice and common morality whenever it could advantage itself by so doing.

My favorite game right now is a phone/tablet game called War Robots. It is basically mechwarrior.

I've been playing this one. http://www.wgt.com/gameclient.aspx It's a golf game.

Maybe twice a week I play a round for like 20 minutes. Yesterday I played alternate strokes play with 3 people elsewhere around the country. You can chat and whatnot, too. It's kind of fun because you can chat while you're playing.

I'm doing a gauntlet of DCCG (digital collectable card games) to see if any tickle my fancy. On the list is Hearthstone, Magic Duels, Eternal, and Elder Scrolls Legends.

Hi there, guys! I don't really play much computer games lately, but I am playing some slot machine games currently. I always look for some good ones at https://casinodeal.co.uk/slot-machines/slot-games/ Maybe you will find it useful for you as well. I like such an activity a lot, helps me relax in the evenings. Do you like some casino games, by the way?
