Sorry it's been a while since I've seen that movie so I mixed up the casting - but I'm not sure what the purpose was of bringing up Brad Pitt and/or the film in that situation. I guess you were saying that you identify with that character more than other Brad Pitt characters... but Brad Pitt played that character and is not that character in real life. So ironically, you referenced a paid actor playing a part you identified with in defense of your principled position on not playing a role in exchange for money.
Aside from being some sort of monk or other individual whom society would claim clearly sacrifices his own rational self-interest for the sake of some higher principle, pretty much anyone would take millions of dollars to do something that isn't even considered morally objectionable.
I haven't seen it in forever either. It just popped into my head as I thinking of an example to use, lol.
No I don't relate to Tyler Durden. At all. I'm probably more similar to Ed Nortons character...haha.
Anyway, I meant if I had a hot body like Brad Pitt did in the movie I'd probably be more like his character of Tyler Durden (who was played by Brad Pitt but was actually Ed Norton's character imaginary alter ego).
It was just my weird way of saying: "if was a hot dude with a killer bod I'd still probably not use it sell magazines and become masturbation material for big homosexual biker guys, regardless how much money they threw at me".

Seriously, how degrading would that be? I mean, to have big rough dudes draped in leather jerking off to your photos in a bathroom stall? Creepy.
Omg, the most beautiful women pic yet on the thread.
After that brunette posted by Missy.
Kate Upton wouldn't give any of you the time of day, much less access to her intimate areas--I don't understand the obsession over Hollywood "beautiful" people from males or females. I mostly dislike them, if I think of them at all.
I think it speaks to something. Like what people find attractive, using a model as the starting point.
I've never found the top models attractive from an abstract standpoint. But godforbid, I was in a life situation with one, and they, for consideration sake, were really into me, I'm quite positive I'd do them.
As it is, my only ever brush with fame is kissing Kristen Stewart, Ask, Eduardo. He knows.
Fug it. If Eduardo was here we could have had some fun with it. As it is, my only real big brush with "fame" was shaking the hands of $#@!heads like Bill Clinton and Al Gore. So really it's been brushes with infamy.
I'm somewhat comforted by the knowledge that Kate will NEVER drown.
No dude you aren't getting it. Kate has a waist and ass like mine. Her ass is as big around as her waist. You're missing some curves that some of us feel is important in a woman. If my belt isn't tight I'm having to pull my pants up. She probably deals with it by wearing skin-tight jeans. Me, I might have to consider suspenders.
hawt, sexy, aphrodisiacal (sp?), etc
anyway what i was trying to say was that purely selling ones body to become a source of self-pleasure for teenagers, pervy middle-aged guys, and/or lonely housewives (although apparently women generally don’t need a visual to masturbate to) is kind of degrading and reduces a person to a mere sex object on the level of an inflatable doll or sex toy or one of those real dolls featured on howard stern.
EDIT: I have met a bunch of members of punk/hardcore bands at shows but never anyone uber famous.
Oh, since someone mentioned Kim Deal, and I am on a Dandy Warhols kick:

So?
I've been a man since I hit puberty, and being treated as a 'mere' sex object has yet to bother me even for a moment.
Like I told my niece when she apologized for a neighbor of hers attacking me one day--I'm not worried about being attacked by drunken women. I'm worried about the day I'm no longer attacked by drunken women.
As for gay guys, I've never gone off on one for copping a feel. 'Sorry, I'm straight, but thanks for the compliment.' What need is there to be rude about a freaking compliment? Really?
Damn. Let the women be all hung up about stuff, if anyone has to be. I'm six three and 210 pounds. All I have to do is say no. No need to even squint and frown and furrow my brow unless they make me say it twice.
Look I understand most women (and men) want to feel desirable- I am not talking about sexuality here. You can be sexy and have erotic photo shoots and commercials without degrading yourself. There are a lot of actors and musicians who do.
I am talking about swimsuit models and porn stars and strippers whose sole occupation is their bodies. When a person objectifies themselves, others are going to do the same. For example, a swimsuit model is an object of sexual desire to many men. Granted, the vast majority of them will never be in the same room with her but she is still being reduced to merely a visual to fulfill their carnal desires. The people who pay them the large sum of money to flaunt their bodies are completely dehumanizing and reducing them to nothing but pieces of flesh.
Their emotions and intellect and personality become irrelevant. This enters into our cultural psyche- where we perceive hot and sexy and beautiful women as being nothing but objects of sexual desire.
Think about it: No one cares what hot women have to say, do they? We tend to perceive them as dumb and vapid and not to be taken seriously. “Just shut up and show us your tits” is probably what goes through the mind of most guys in the presence of the big breasted bottle blond.
Obviously not all models are dumb. Some are incredibly brainy and intelligent with very well developed sense of humor, but still…not many will take them seriously because they are not real humans in our eyes…just ocular play things.
And yes, I am well aware that women like to be complimented on their looks. I would have to imagine that a middle-aged lady with an emotionally vacant husband who would rather jerk off to the aforementioned dancing gifs of Kate Upton than give her any attention, would have her day made by someone telling her how pretty she is or how young she looks or how nice her hair is. Men, too like to be noticed for their appearance- that's why gyms and GNC and axe body spray exists.

I'm presently boarding a Newfoundland dog who, any time I'm not on guard, will grab me around my waist and try to hump me. I can't even bend over to pick up a ball without this animal trying to do this. The worst time is when she has just gotten out of the wading pool, so her furry legs are sopping wet when she latches on.
I think I know now how a pretty woman must feel sometimes.
"Sorry, fellows, the rebellion is off. We couldn't get a rebellion permit."
I should probably reword my post from earlier to something a little more articulate, but screw it.
Anyway, does anyone agree with my observation that 'hot' people are generally perceived to be vapid and stupid? Could a woman with large breasts, blond hair, blue eyes- someone who looks like they could be a swimsuit model or a hooters waitress ever be taken seriously in a corporate environment? "Who's dick did she suck?". Would her opinion matter to anyone despite her qualifications and intellect?
Could a guy with an IQ north of 130, but with the physique of a body builder and the face of a male model ever be taken seriously in politics or in the business world?
EDIT: Megyn Kelly and Arnold Schwarzenegger... maybe?

So would you feel better if the subject of your thread worked part-time in a bikini? Nobody says you have to buy the magazine. Nobody twisted her arm.
People are free to do what they like in this regard. This is nothing new. They were called dance hall girls in the good old days of America. They had various names throughout all eras in history.
Yeah, models are imbeciles. No kidding. The chances of you getting involved with the subject of your thread is zero. Either beat your meat like the rest of America or get a girlfriend and forget about it.
Say what?! They're taken seriously every day. They're everywhere in America.
There are a lot of book smart people who can't wipe their own ass. Some are even so do damn smart that they think their role in life is to run the live's of everybody else.
I'm much more interested in a leader's values than his IQ. Some of the smartest people in world history have ruled some of the most brutal regimes. Give me the dumbbell who values freedom and leaves me alone. Much better than the elitist who acts like he knows what's best for me.

Never heard of her...
I wasn't picking on Boone's Farm in general as much as I was thinking about that neon blue stuff that was in that "brewer reviews cheap wine" video in particular. I saw that stuff and wanted to write a science fiction story around it, only it's natural alien grapes lol
