So, Romania(Ioan Mircea Pascu) quickly jumps on Nigel Farage's statement... let's take a look at WHY?
You can ALWAYS count on puppet nations that receive US taxpayer's money to "Bribe" these politicians/governments/nations with Economic and Military Aid. Your Tax Dollars at Work!
Romanian BS Rebuttal: Ioan Mircea Pașcu (born 17 February 1949 in Satu Mare) is a Romanian politician, a Member of the European Parliament and a former Minister of Defense in the Adrian Năstase cabinet. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party, part of the Party of European Socialists, and became an MEP on 1 January 2007 with the accession of Romania to the European Union.
Let's take a quick snapshot at Romania:
STARS & STRIPES: DOD to shift air transit from Manas to RomaniaIn 2007, the Council of Europe recognized that the secret CIA prisons existed in Italy and Poland, and identified 14 other countries in Europe that helped the US by creating secret prisons, breaching the Geneva Convention. Such countries as Germany, Sweden, Spain, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Romania, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia were all involved in the CIA’s secret prisons torture program.

Much respect for the man, just can't imagine the courage it must take to say what he just said about Russia. Its helps a ton if you are a confident, articulate and charismatic wordsmith like Farage.
The flip side of that, in my view, is the audacity or nerve that some of our elected ones have in standing up and running with the narrative of the neo-cons who function from within both sides of the US political aisle as if we're too stupid to know what is actually happening. Short term, they may see some political/personal benefit as a result of the uninformed base that they enjoy but in the long term I think they'll be left extremely red faced.
Sure, the majority of folks here in the states are clueless and are really only capable of understanding foreign policy from what they are fed from cable tv opinion programming and, really, that is limited to the so called war on terror in the middle east but the fact is that the rest of the entire free world is wide awake and have a functional knowledge of what surmises foreign policy to it's fullest extent.
I don't know if people pay attention to comments on foreign news reporting but American citizens are (rightly so) the freaking laughing stock of the world. And it's because the rest of the world actually has a clue. And we're being laughed at because of the people that we have (supposedly) representing us. What is worse is it's that kind of "gosh, I feel sorry for these uninformed people" kind of thing.

Look's like that Romanian EU aristocrat has many so-called dignitaries visiting his country. Uncle Sam's welfare world at the taxpayer's expense. Loretta Sanchez' boondoggle to Romania for a photo op.

They can keep trying to run the world, but it's going to end for the US just like it did for Rome.
Once the dollar loses reserve currency status, all those expensive taxpayer trips are going to come to a screeching hault.
Then these jet-setting politicians will actually have to deal with real problems here at home, ie, the massive structural changes which need to take place in the US in order for it to be competitive.

The Federalist Papers, No. 15:
Except as to the rule of appointment, the United States have an indefinite discretion to make requisitions for men and money; but they have no authority to raise either by regulations extending to the individual citizens of America.
I'm probably in the minority in thinking that the dollar won't lose reserve currency status. At least not "as is". The fact is that no longer is reserve currency status the prize for he who rules the sea and ports. Nope. Reserve currency status goes to he who rules space. Electronic or digital transactions happen in space in today's world. At the moment it's the U.S. who rules space. We'd do well to better understand the way international finance clearing works. Especially at a time when the BRICs are moving away from the dollar along with others. They're establishing in-house forms of finance clearing as well as on the international level. And this is the reason that we see such a quick move from our dear leaders to throw the old "we need more cyber-security" gag on us. It's no surprise that the bulk of the intelligence spying was directed at these nations and specific to their model s of finance clearing. You see?
The only thing that would change my position on this (and it is actually happening...which is interesting) is that we're seeing some strange mergers with various space programs and countries. And at the same time. Again, under the meme of cyber security.
This is actually one of the reasons I was going back and forth with Zippy over in the audit the fed thread because nobody who wants to audit them are actually including things like international finance clearing. And so then even if you did get an audit, it certainly wouldn't be a true audit in any way. Just kind of a meme of sorts. Which is another debate on it's own...
You know who we need to watch? Spain. That's who. Getting back to trade routes and whatnot. Especially if Japan and Germany get permanent UN Security Council Seats. With permanent vito power, I'd add. Down the road...

They have already done the damage with the regime change. I am sure that the Ukrainian people are thrilled with their new Nazi government!
Experience teaches us that it is much easier to prevent an enemy from posting themselves than it is to dislodge them after they have got possession.

It's going to get really crazy over there now with that so-called lustration bill they just passed. Oh, yes indeedy.
