    whats your point?
    Ephesians 2:8-9-

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

One of my recurring comments is that Jesus told his followers what to do and how to live. Why do so many millions of them not follow the commands/orders that their beloved Lord and Savior, Son of God gave to them?

All the point I got. Is more required?

Yes, some of them. I'm not a Christian. I just like Jesus.

I try but I know I will fail. I'm not a law-keeper like some. We cannot save ourselves.

    I'm not Jewish either.

Why the animosity? He just posted a list of commands with no judgment. It's always good to get a reminder. For all the trash I usually talk against Ronin, I actually gave him a positive rep for this.

If I'm not Jewish and not Christian, then why would I care or have any concern at all about anything Isaiah had to say about anything? I'm just exactly as concerned about Zeus comments, etc..

All authority in Heaven and on Earth belongs to Jesus. It isn't only some special group of followers of his who are obligated to obey his commands. He calls everyone to follow and obey him.

So while you want only to ask other people why they fail to live up to Jesus's demands, you should also ask yourself the same thing with the knowledge that one day you will see him face to face, and bow your knee and call him Lord, and he will judge you.

    1. Don't lie.
    2. Don't cheat.
    3. Don't steal.
    4. Don't kill.
    5. Don't commit adultery.
    6. Don't covet what your neighbor has, especially his wife.
    7. Honor your father and mother.
    8. Remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy.
    9. Don’t use your Higher Power's name in vain, or anyone else's.
    10. Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

Perhaps. You may just be right. I'll jump off that bridge when I come to it. I thought that Jesus was here mainly for the Jews. Have you been reading Paul again?

The main difference to me seems to be, that I'm not going around bragging about my "Christianity" and how much I love and follow Jesus.

Who do you see "bragging"? That's one of the things Jesus, the Psalmist, and others tell us not to do.

Lot's of folks, ALL OF THE TIME. Maybe they're just as good at obeying the Psalmist and others as they are at obeying Jesus.

I read just the other day that the cross and the crucification became the symbols of Christianity from the Romans. Prior to that the resurrection had been the main focal point. Who knew? Kinda fits, when you stop and think about it. We did that.

See, that's just the thing. It starts out simple and the first thing you know folks are complicating things and handing down new rules to be followed. Who needs it? I much prefer simple.

I never cease to be amazed at mankind's ability to take a basically good idea, and to SCREW IT UP!

I'm fairly sure the cross/crucifix originated in Byzantium a few centuries before the Romans adopted Christianity. Don't quote me on that, though.

Huh? I don't know about 'rules,' but Jesus 'screwed it up,' according to you, not mankind.
