Before we all start s*****g each others' ****s, let's be honest the title is misleading. He isn't saying he thinks Randal will be president; but that he would be willing to bet because you would get "great odds" and says he thinks currently Randal has about a 25% chance.
Well if you think he has a 50% chance of being the GOP nominee and the GOP nominee stands a 50% chance of becoming president then that puts him at having a 25% chance of becoming president. The only way someone has better odds is if you think they have the nomination locked up before the process even starts and/or you believe a particular party is guaranteed to win the next election. I think the next presidential election is the GOP's to loos. If they nominate another McCain or Romney then they deserve to loose.Originally Posted by specsaregood

Actually I think you get better odds the more unlikely it is somebody is to win. Meaning you would get "great odds" on Randal because it is unlikely he would win. He would be betting that the 25% he estimates is greater than what bookmakers or other betters would estimate.

No. Watch it again. He clearly said "And I think he stands a 25% chance of winning." He's saying you would get great odds because many the oddsmakers are underestimating Rand. As a movement we've been beat down so much that we don't see a compliment when it's thrown our way.
