Black Cop Kills Unarmed White Youth — Media and Feds Silent

The lesson to be learned here is that it pays to riot and loot to gain attention (oh and new goodies from your local retailer).

Black Cop Kills Unarmed White Youth — Media and Feds Silent

While Ferguson, Missouri, burns with racism and rioting, misinformation and mayhem over the Michael Brown shooting, another unarmed young man was shot to death by police just two days later. But unlike the Ferguson case where a white cop shot a black youth, in this instance the races are reversed. Unlike in Ferguson, there is no allegation that the young man attacked the officer. And there is another difference:

The national media, Attorney General Holder, and Barack Obama are silent.

The young man was 20-year-old Salt Lake City resident and father-to-be Dillon Taylor. Taylor was leaving the 2102 South State Street 7-Eleven on August 11 with his brother, Jerrail Taylor, and cousin, Adam Thayne, when the incident occurred.

According to [South Salt Lake police] Sgt. Darin Sweeten, police were called to the scene just after 7 p.m. after receiving a 911 call of a man waving a gun in the air.

When police arrived they spotted the suspect leaving the gas station with two other individuals.

According to Sweeten, the officers demanded that the suspect and the two others surrender.

The suspect did not follow orders and was shot.

Police have not confirmed whether or not the suspect had a gun or why he was shot.

The two other individuals [Jerrail Taylor and Adam Thayne] with the suspect did comply with police.

Allegations have been made, however, that Taylor was a victim of mistaken identity and, perhaps, overly-aggressive policing. As KUTV reports:

Dillon's brother and cousin claim they were on their way to visit his parents’ graves and that Dillon was surprised by the police presence. He was not aggressive, they said.

“He had headphones in, and he couldn't hear [anything], and then they finally surrounded him," Jerrail said. "They're like, 'Get on the ground,' and [he] pulled up his pants and [they] shot him."

Thayne believes police might have thought his cousin was reaching for a gun when, in reality, he grabbed his cell phone.

"I was in shock, because he was wearing a white t-shirt and there was blood all over it," Thayne said. "They ran up and handcuffed him. He wasn't moving."

A witness's video shows police yelling for the two men to remain on the ground as Thayne repeatedly screams that they have shot his cousin.

The two men were taken to the police station, but released hours later without being charged or cited.

It is not about race as much as it is about Police.

They are completely out of control and need to be put on a short leash.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Utah protesters demand justice for Dillon Taylor, others killed by police

Well, it appears they are protesting. Anyone think they will start rioting and looting?

Protesters lined the sidewalk across the street from Salt Lake City police headquarters Monday afternoon to express their outrage at a spate of recent police shootings of unarmed people.

Among the demonstrators were friends of Dillon Taylor, the 20-year-old man who was shot dead by Salt Lake City police outside a 7-Eleven last Monday. Police were responding to a report of a man with a gun, but Taylor’s supporters say he was unarmed.

"It didn’t make sense to me when I first heard everything, and they tried to say he had a gun," said Taylor’s friend Aaron Swanenberg, who came to the protest straight from Taylor’s funeral. "I knew Dillon. He never packed a gun."

At the time of Taylor’s shooting, court documents show he had a $25,000 bench warrant for a probation violation in connection with felony robbery and obstructing justice convictions. But Marissa Martinez, whose sister used to date Taylor, said Taylor had turned over a new leaf.

"He was trying to do better for himself. And this is what happens to him?" Martinez said. "It was really heartbreaking."

The South Salt Lake police department is investigating the shooting but has not said whether a weapon was found or why Taylor was deemed threatening enough for police to fire at least twice.

You know,, not everyone in Ferguson was rioting and looting..

Only the ones that the police allowed to do so, the ones that they did not bother with as they became a menace to the neighborhood. (or created as a menace)

This very country imported many Nazis when Berlin fell and they all were not all brought over to build our rockets. That is where the playbook comes from, which is the same playbook that has been passed down since men decided it was better to live in societies and to be controlled by other men. There is indeed nothing new under the sun. The presentation, technology, and tactics are all that changes. A battle has been waged against liberty since man has been looting the planet.

It should be about police; but unfortunately, the professional race-baiters and the media have made it more about race than about police.

Well if a bunch of Caucasians went out to protest, riot, loot, and burn things down in staged reaction to the shooting there would be plenty of media and government attention.

See picture above. This is the proper way to protest. Orderly, and without violence, and very polite, and in the designated protest area. That protester is a model citizen. Well done, citizen.

    You are incorrect.

There should be no protesting at the brave boys in blue who keep us all safe.

This is the only proper citizen reaction...

I don't recall the everfucking FedCoats and the media raising hell about Nick Christie, tortured and murdered by cops in Florida.

Race is being used by the system as a way to diminish what happens every day, at the hands of cops.

    ^^^this

I've been following this situation closely over the last two weeks. I have downloaded probably every video possible on the subject, as they come out, in chronological order - even having my son sit here on the comp watching for more while I'm at work.

There were VERY FEW incidents of looting - again, I have hours and hours of footage - very little looting. And within all of that footage, are numerous interviews with locals that say it is mostly out of towners stirring up the trouble.

There are also more incidents caught on camera of citizens rooting out, calling out and running off the instigators - and there's plenty more footage of that happening than any rioting, or hating on whitey.

What there IS plenty of is the police acting like jackasses towards peaceful protesters, launching tear gas at professional TV crews - and then dismantling their equipment, arbitrarily arresting journalists and protesters, and pointing loaded weapons at unarmed citizens AND threatening to kill them whilst doing so...you know, all of those things that are the REAL issue at hand here.

Some of you here need to get the $#@! over yourselves and your blatantly stereotypical comments, it does nothing towards a solution to all of this. And I even agree with some of what you three or four are getting at - but it matters not right now. You are playing right into "their" game of division.

We should all focus on what's been happening since the shooting, and how to use this moment to stop it now. Never let a good crisis go to waste works both ways.

My first thought after reading the original post was that this is about paranoia of someone else having a gun and maybe doing to you what you've been doing or thinking about doing to them with yours.

That's the hell of it. Who's to say when you've crossed the line of being within reason to being irrational. Specially when your part of a group.

Or who is to say when crossing the line of being irrational or being within reason is being crossed with you.

    We are in troubling times.
