Here's the solution for the "Israel Situation".

Jews claim God gave it to them, Muslims claim God gave it to them. That will never be resolved, so give it to a 3rd party - Switzerland might be a good choice. They've got a long history of neutrality

1. Make it a gun-free, weapon-free zone. No guns, no bombs, no knives, no nothing. Anybody caught with a weapon gets their hands cut off
2. Make the whole country a National Park
3. No residences, no businesses.
4. Nobody gets to live there, but anybody can pilgramage there - with a 14-day limit on pilgramage, twice a year.
5. Nobody gets to do business there.
6. No money - no banks.
7. No tourism - only 'business' would be food and shelter, and it must be charity and volunteer. And make that even-steven: Muslims build a restaurant, then Jews get to build a restaurant. Jews build a hotel, Muslims get a hotel, etc.
8. Got to have some laws, so they get 5 each - Jews get 5, Muslims get 5.
9. Flip a coin to determine who gets law #1, then alternate.
10. There will probably be some fights, maybe some rocks thrown and what not - anybody caught doing that, they and their family are never allowed in the country again.
11. Got to divide up the religious sites, so again Muslims get 5, Jews get 5. Whoever wins the coin toss for laws, the other side gets first pick for religous sites.

That would be great, but I just don't see that happening. Too many cooks in the kitchen already.

Seems to me somebody is going to have to broker a deal. Whoever comes up with a fair and equitable solution should build international support for it. Rand doesn't have to claim it as his own, but if he's asked he could just say "Well, here's an idea."

Doesn't have to be mine, of course. But if Rand, when asked, had a really good solution, AND global leaders supporting it - man, would that be awesome or what?
