One recent book is Scars of War, Wounds of Peace, by former Israeli foreign minister, and it's a quite balanced overview (aka "anti-Semitic" as far as American Zionist lobby people are concerned, but they can attack neither the content nor the messenger in this case). It also includes the history of the creation itself, unlike what you asked.
"The Holocaust Industry" by Norman Finkelstein. Highly controversial. You can search google video to see lectures and debates by/with the author.
"The Jews of Khazaria", Kevin Alan Brook (not contemporary, but rather the emerging historical evidence that many/most European Jews came from the Khazarian Empire (600AD-1100AD), which was situated, more or less, between today's Turkey and Russia.

There was a controversial man named Benjamin Freedman, who was a New York Jewish insider until he "defected" and began to disclose what he felt were the facts of the true history and motives of world domination by the International Zionists.

Ive been reading "Middle East Illusions" by Noam Chomsky (Im not a big fan of his, but ill admit he knows quite a bit about the Israeli/Palestinian issue.)
Great read, in depth discussion of Israel/Palestine/Terrorism/Foreign Policy i highly recommend it even if you dislike Chomsky.
Randy, I took a look in Amazon for the book "Far and Wide" by Douglas Reed, and in the description page of the book they included a quote from the book as to how Douglas Reed say future historians would describe this era we are in (and he wrote this in 1951).
"At the mid-twentieth century the forces conspiring, to enslave all the countries of the Christian West, especially the English-speaking ones, were so greatly in control of public information that the masses knew next to nothing of what went on and what impended. Public men had come to fear these inhibitors too much to tempt their wrath, and any who did risk that ire were defamed by so powerful a machine of the spoken and written word that even the masses, after lending an eager ear of hope, then dully turned their backs on the speakers and shunned them, thinking they must be evil after all. In that way they were brought again and again to pit themselves against each other, always in the name of "freedom, " for their own mutual destruction and enslavement..."
Could anyone have been more prophetic? I read the online book "Facts are Facts" yesterday that I posted earlier in this thread and it was an eye-opener, too.
