Cop orders drunk man to move car then shoots him.

The taxpayers of Baton Rouge will be shelling out close to a half million dollars because of the negligent actions of BRPD officer, Christopher Magee.

Carlos Harris was out with his friend, Ryan Dominique, when police were called to the scene on reports of Dominique driving recklessly in the parking lot of Club Insomnia on Florida Blvd.

Dominique was subsequently arrested at which point officer Magee asked Harris to move his friend’s car.

When asked to move the car, Harris told Magee he was drunk and did not wish to do so. According to witness Aisha Loliss, Magee then “commanded him to move the car.”

More than 50 cameras, including multiple police dashcams, captured the various angles of what happened next. The videos show Harris driving the car into a police unit, pull forward and hit another car, then crash into the police car again.

The car was traveling forward away from him when Magee shot Harris from behind. One of the three shots Magee fired also hit a woman nearby in the wrist.

Harris was killed as a result of the shots. A toxicology report also showed that his blood alcohol level was .089 making his claim of being intoxicated true.

Harris’ family sued Baton Rouge police for negligence because they believe Harris should have never been instructed to get behind the wheel. The family also contests Dominique’s car had a defect and was difficult to drive, which could explain the reason for ramming the other cars.

Magee was cleared of all wrongdoing, was never disciplined for his actions, and remains on the force today.

Another cop says, "Don't Shoot! There's too many people!" As the officer shoots anyway and a bullet bounces off a woman's wrist....But the officer is cleared of any wrong doing...

So shooting in a crowded area and hitting an innocent bystander doesn't even get you a slap on the wrist these days???

Oh and how about this dandy....The officer's dashcam starts A MINUTE after he already shot Carlos Harris Dead....Those pesky dashcams....just turn on and off at the strangest times...

Oh and the worst of all...Following an officers direct order...OBEYING an officer's command...and you still end up dead...

Carlos Harris did this to himself...

    (snip)

At one point a man, presumably another officer, can be heard yelling, “Don’t draw Magee, no! Too many people.”

One of Magee’s three shots fired hit a bystander in her wrist, WBRZ reported.

    (snip)

As police rushed to the scene of the shooting, more than 50 cameras captured video of the events taking place, but Magee’s own dash cam footage does not begin until one minute after the shooting, WBRZ noted.

Despite the bizarre situation, Magee was apparently cleared of all wrongdoing and remained on the police force.

“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. Thus it is not an offense to liberate one from the unlawful custody of an officer, even though he may have submitted to such custody, without resistance.” (Adams v. State, 121 Ga. 16, 48 S.E. 910).

The second cop did not tell the first cop - “Don’t draw Magee, no! Too many people.” - out of any concern that "innocent civilians" would get hit.

    There were too many witnesses.

    Not that it matters anymore.

A thousand people saw and recorded the cops choking and killing that man in NYC.

Not a $#@!ing thing will happen to any of them.

    Update:

The family of a Baton Rouge man fatally shot by police in 2011 could soon receive several hundred thousand dollars in the settlement of a lawsuit with the city-parish.

The Metro Council is expected to vote later this month on whether to approve the proposed settlement, which would pay the family of Carlos Harris Jr. about $425,000 if the most recent agreement holds, court records show.

Harris, 23, was shot on March 6, 2011, while driving his friend’s vehicle in the crowded parking lot of Club Insomnia near Airline Highway and Florida Boulevard. He was driving the vehicle because his friend, Ryan Dominique, had just been stopped by police officers for driving erratically.

Police have said Dominique requested that Harris take the car from the club.

In the civil suit filed in January 2012, Harris’ attorneys allege that police forced Harris to drive the car without checking to see whether he was intoxicated. Harris did not have a valid driver’s license and had been drinking inside the club that night, the suit says.

The suit also alleges the car had mechanical problems at the time, which contributed to Harris’ inability to control it in the parking lot that night.

The suit says the vehicle lurched back and forth after Harris began driving it, striking two police cars and several other vehicles. The last time Harris drove the vehicle forward, police officer Christopher Magee fired three shots into it. One struck Harris in the chest, and he later died at a hospital.

A grand jury in November 2011 cleared Magee of any criminal wrongdoing in the shooting. An internal investigation by the department also determined Magee acted properly in the incident.

Christopher Magee, I curse you. To whichever gods, devils, or demons that will listen, I curse Christopher Magee to an eternity of suffering. May every pleasure be robbed from him. May his genetic line wither and die. May he never know peace. May his mind remain ever clear so that he can truly comprehend the horror of his eternal torment. I spit on you, your family, your police force, and everyone who has ever shown you even the slightest shred of kindness you rat$#@! son of a bitch.

So the life of this guy was worth $425,000. But the life of the cop killed in PA was worth millions and millions, and they're not even done spending money on that alleged killer.
