I'll be forwarding this video to some of my Republican friends who have not (yet) fully embraced the Liberty wing agenda. (I say "yet" because I'm not done working on them, haha).

I don't think you understand the purpose of this bill if you think Randal is the one needing lube and chapstick.

AIPAC, who is on its knees for Israel, is opposed to the bill.

What a joke. Rand is "on his knees for Israel," but yet AIPAC is strongly opposed to the bill.

This shows me how narrow minded you are.

Fwiw I hate anything Israel. This bill has nothing to do with Israel.

Can somebody please explain to me why this is smart politically?
Seems like he is just throwing himself into a very sticky debate here with Israel.
But the way I see it maybe he is just pandering.

It's good policy and the pro liberty position to support cutting foreign aid, and it's smart politically because it helps him with pro Israel conservative voters without needing to stray from the non interventionist message.

Do we know AIPAC is opposed to it? I saw some comments yesterday that they were opposed to another bill, but it wasn't sure if they would/wouldn't be on this one. Is there a link to something on this one, and what was said?

AIPAC is not on its knees to Israel or even beholden to it. AIPAC simply uses Israel as an excuse to further their own agenda.

I agree with this as is proven by their fierce defense of foreign aid to Israel's enemies.

So ... if he wanted to increase foreign aid you'd be happy?
Yeah yeah, you disagree with the rhetoric, but the result of this bill is surely something you agree with, no? If not ... why are you here again?

This shows me you were never going to support Rand anyway so your vote will not be missed. You can always vote for the LP

I like cutting all foreign aid...I do not like intellectual dishonesty (like the name of the Bill). Some here are cheerleading for sophism as long as it wins power (power they ostensibly disdain...I hope).

Bull$#@!. He is taking down the building, room by room. You prefer if he used a bulldozer. Unfortunately, the bulldozer approach was rejected by the Senate. Instead of just quitting altogether, or reintroducing the bulldozer every year to watch it be turned down again, he opted for an approach that still will reach the goal of getting rid of all foreign aid.

So we can all expect a 'Stand with the USA' bill forthcoming very soon from Rand that cuts aid to Israel until they quit spying on the US and stop their annexation of the West Bank, right?

Ending foreign aid needs to happen, but not one at a time and not in a way that makes Palestine (who is already a whipping boy to Israel) prostrate themselves before Israel.

AIPAC opposes a pro-Israel bill! It should be obvious now that they only have the interests on the Israeli government in mind, not the Israeli people.

He's lying to do whatever the hell it is you fantasize he is doing. That was my point. Intellectual dishonesty is deplorable, and as I've tried repeatedly to explain to you, is a short term political strategy that always blows up in your face long term.

I'm for telling the truth even if it wins less elections. That way, when we win, it shows that the people are ready for the radical change needed. You seem to think that either radical change isn't required, or that it is required but somehow can be maintained despite pissing off most of the people who vote for our candidates once they realize our candidates lied to them throughout the campaign (like all other lying politicians).

"Bull$#@!" that, and "bull$#@!" yourself, but you aren't bullshitting me.
