So I went to my first GOP meeting since I moved to South Carolina, and of course I instantly found Ron Paul fans there.

One of the people I met is a candidate for the SC House of Representatives, district 4. Her name is Michelle Wiles and she used to work for Justin Amash in Michigan. Her website is http://votemichellewiles.com

She is. You know how with some people you just make instant friends, like you and the other person both intuitively and simultaneously sense that you're fighting the same fight? I think it took us 10 seconds to start bonding, the moment she mentioned the liberty dog whistle phrase "Constitutional conservative".

Yeah, I know what you mean, make sure you both use the campaign as a tool to organize and meet like minded people. We lose most elections, but getting the troops together helps us get ready for the next fight. I'm sick of us losing and having to reinvent the wheel with every campaign.

Pretty much doing just that. I need to rebuild a local political network from scratch and last night's meeting was a good start.
