the U.S. Supreme Court is hearing the Aereo vs network television stations IP case

Will the U.S. Supreme Court uphold copyright law in favor of big stations? Most likely at the expense of the definition of "Streaming" and "live streaming". Aereo claims to be using a service in comparison to the old days when people hooked an antenna up to a tv and tuned into an airwave. Who owns the "airwaves"?? and wifi waves?

This one has some frightening implications. Nobody seems to be asserting what Aereo is doing is illegal, They are asserting that what they are doing SHOULD be illegal, and depending on the courts to rule based on the spirit of the law instead of the letter of the law.

“Your technological model is based solely on circumventing legal prohibitions that you don’t want to comply with.”

I can see the words "streaming" and "live-streaming" as well as Cloud being redefined to fit their version of
    "freedom" and " justice"

They did seem to be worried about the effect of their ruling on new technology. But I'm sure not going to bet one thin dime they will rule in favor of the consumer.

But change a few words and look what the Roberts statement can become:

“Your tax planning model is based solely on circumventing legal taxation that you don’t want to pay.”
