Composing Only 5% of the World Population, Americans Take 50% of All Pharmaceutical Drugs

While Americans comprise only 5 percent of the world population, we consume an incredible 50 percent of Big Pharma’s drugs, as explained in Jeff Hays’ documentary film, Doctored. Make no mistake. These drugs are meant to keep us imprisoned in poor health, not heal us. It’s time to kick the drug habit America. Tell the drug pushers – Merck, Pfizer, Novartis, Roche, GlaxoSmith Kline, Abbott, Astra-Zeneca, Amgen, Eli Lilly, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Sanofi (along with the FDA and CDC) that you are going cold turkey, and learn what true health really means.

Fifty percent figure is not accurate. Way too high. According to figures, http://www.piperreport.com/blog/2012...-outlook-2016/
developed countries (which includes all of Europe, Canada, and the United States among others) consumes about 57% of all prescription drugs in the world. If the US alone consumes over 50%, that would mean there are no prescription drugs sold in Europe or Canada.

If they are to imprison us in poor health and not heal us, why do we live longer? We should be dying sooner if they are making us sicker.

Which is why US, Japanese, Hong Kong, Cananda, Italy, and Germany (amongst many others)...you know, the highest consumers of pharmaceuticals all have lifespans that are at the lowest end of the chart and have been declining year over year.

Note also that there are many drugs which require a prescription to be purchased in the US but do not require a prescription in some other countries. Thus sales of such a drug in the US would count as a prescription drug sale but the exact same thing would not count as a prescription drug sale in the other country which would also inflate the figures of US usage.
