TOLEDO -- One of Toledo's finest four-legged officers is being credited with helping take over 100 lbs. of marijuana off the city's streets.

According to Toledo Police, detectives from Vice Narcotics were assisted by K9 "Luke" on a Knock and Talk with a resident at 1357 Oak Street Wednesday morning.

Authorities had detected an odor of marijuana at the residence. Officers entered a detached garage and found a large amount of marijuana which appeared to have been recently harvested. Several lights were also found to be a part of a grow operation.

The 111 lbs of pot found in the garage has a street value of $177,600.

Police have charged William Fyffe and Wendy Fyffe, both residents of the home, with cultivation of marijuana and trafficking marijuana.

    An investigation continues.

Only 111 pounds? Lmao. That's maybe 1/10 of 0.01% of the amount of weed that currently exists in Toledo.

They used to, and probably still do, charge each plant as a pound no matter how small or immature.

    That's probably what they did.

Or they weighed the entire plant as well as the root structures.

You gotta love their dedication though. Not many criminals would add weight on to what they stole when speaking to the media or the public in general ("I didn't steal six ounces of gold, but two pounds!"). Generally speaking they deny the theft outright. But these guys are true heroes. They steal property and inflate their egos with tales of that which they never stole. Truth be told, they are so proud of the $177,600 dollar amount, that should be the lien placed against each of their cars and homes until paid in full. Nevermind that what they stole wasn't worth half that and would be worth less than half of that still if these fascist jackboots weren't marching the streets, imprisoning people and robbing all.
