I'm almost afraid to watch this thing. Can imagine what the substance and scope of foreign policy will entail.

Oh well. Here goes...holding my nose during the dive in.

The similarity to a Morning Joe panel discussion is remarkable.

Yep, they NEVER change. It's a propaganda term, so they have to repeat it to quietly communicate the old "Paul will not engage threats to the US or it's allies" meme. This keeps the conversation from questioning the "threats" or how they came to be (US covert actions, sanctions, drones, excessive treaty or "special relationship" entanglements, etc). It's not about defending bad neocon arguments, or the failed track record of intervention, it's about keeping the mental framework of intervening in place.

Yeah it's funny when they're criticizing him because he can't get the "money/donor Republicans" nor the "mainstream Republicans".

Scarborough is a joke. He was going on and on during the Bush years about how terrible Bush's foreign policy was and how terrible the war in Iraq was, and now he's all for war with Iran and was criticizing Rand simply for not pledging to go to war with Iran. This guy has absolutely no credibility left at all.

When Joe Scarborough pondered aloud "I don't know what he's in the middle of..." did it ever occur to him to suggest that Rand was "in the middle" of the decades old Republican tradition of nonintervention? Scarborough is such an establishment tool.

Scarborough supposedly voted for Ron Paul in the last election but somehow Rand's watered down non-interventionist message is too controversial?

I think he just said that his son was a Ron Paul supporter. I highly doubt if Scarborough ever voted for him.
