    Read If You're Maxed Out

I've already given my $2300 to the campaign. But I'm inspired by the efforts of a lot of people who are digging very deep to donate, so I decided to give directly to some grassroots efforts today. I gave $250 total to these four chipins:

    http://fairfield4ronpaul.chipin.com/...paul-promotion
    http://rpcanvassing.chipin.com/sw-io...nvassing-group

I hope others of you who have given $2300 and still have more to give will support these efforts. Iowa and New Hampshire are of course crucial, and Texas, while late, has a lot of delegates and is Ron Paul's home state.

I am going to spend this weekend campaigning in New Hampshire. It's not quite that good, but it's something.

Also, I just got the letter saying that I'm registered as a Republican. So now there's no question about me getting to vote for the good doctor.

    Question

I've heard that the various online stores, who donate to Ron Paul, are a way to circumvent this.

I've also been wondering if we have any lawyers in here who know about the campaign finance laws. Can I set up a non-profit center where those who are over their limit can donate for those who cannot?

    Any answers?

It is not legal. You can set up a Political Action Committee, for which donations are filtered.

I've been giving what I can which isn't close to the limit so to see this makes me feel better. Many Thanks!

ps it would be nice to see a place where people with little resources and mucho time could pick up stuff.

Several PAC's have been setup -- you just haven't been looking for them until now.

    See http://www.alcpac.com, http://www.operationnh.com, etc. I think http://www.RonPaulMax.com has a bigger listing

you can also write letters to iowa!!!

I've distributed 510 names, and Josh over 300 to the forum here, maybe more as well. I am waiting on another 1000 names, but there are several sources in the thread I posted. Our goal is to send a personal letter to every one of the 700,000 names we have in the master list!
