Chance to see the Dalai Lama

I just moved to Birmingham, AL and randomly came across an article that says the Dalai Lama has picked this city to visit. I don't really consider myself Buddhist, but teachings like Mindfulness or Meditation seem very beneficial and practical. He also seems like a positive speaker to listen to.

I just wondered if anyone else has seen this guy at events or what you thought of the experience.

I think he's a very good and kind man who teaches the same. I sincerely believe that even people who don't believe in God, but are kind, loving and giving to others will receive the same here on earth. God said even the lost are not without reward for the good they do in this life, but what happens in the next as result of their unbelief in God is something different and up to God Himself.

Yet something tells me that before the judgments and as people are led under the rod/wrath of God in the future, that there's still hope for them in the end and before judgment.
