Graham (still) far ahead in money heading to June Primary

And this is one of the reasons why Graham's challengers, while rhetorically better than Graham, have such an uphill battle against him.

Republican U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham continues to lead the pack in fundraising with more than $7.6 million cash on hand for his re-election, his campaign reported.

Graham's spokesman said he collected more than $1.3 million between October and December 2013, making the final quarter of the year his second-best fundraising period....

One of his opponents, Berkeley County businesswoman Nancy Mace, listed raising around $253,000 in the quarter, with $241,000 cash on hand. Upstate businessman Richard Cash listed $255,400 cash on hand. Two other hopefuls, Orangeburg attorney Bill Connor and state Sen. Lee Bright, R-Spartanburg, did not immediately share their results.

The only announced Democrat for the Senate seat held by Graham - Jeremy Stamper, who recently moved to South Carolina from Washington state - listed about $3,350 cash on hand.
Again, money isn't the deciding factor, but it's a pretty big one nonetheless.

Money simply measures the ability to buy advertising. Candidates can spread their message in many ways now that are cheaper than traditional advertising. If the people South Carolina want to be rid of their MIC bitch slave then they certainly have options and they aren't hard to find. The challengers just need to make good use of the funds they do have and bring a better message.

This amnesty fight is the best thing that could happen in this race. Graham has blamed racism and said Democrats want a secure border.

A month ago he was pessimistic about amnesty.

The money will come in once the runoff happens.
