BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
Upon the effective date of this act there is hereby created a moratorium on the installation of electronic smart meters for the purpose of monitoring usage and sharing data of electric power or natural gas in any residence in this state until such time as an independent study conducted by the Corporation Commission is completed and the Commission determines such devices are considered safe for humans when installed in residential structures.
SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.

Look past the good news. All this means is that someone in OK is going to get taxpayer $$$ to conduct a study.
