He didn't mention Ron Paul because the comment wasn't about Paul or even stealing it from another specific candidate. It was a remark about the usual make-up of the GOP.

    In context:
That also seems the message of one of the last scenes of "Mitt," the day after the election, when Romney addressed staff at his Boston campaign headquarters. The old lack of confidence came out again as Romney suggested he never felt comfortable in the race. He passed on something someone at headquarters had told him: "In some ways, we kind of had to steal the Republican nomination. Our party is Southern, evangelical and populist. And you're Northern, and you're Mormon, and you're rich. And these do not match well with our party."

Yeah but we know who else he stole it from.

Virgin Islands! WOOT! We should move there since we won the popular vote there.

And this is why folks like Rubio, Jeb Bush, Christie and so on should be put on blast at all times so they aren't given a free pass. True, this also means calling out Rand Paul for his double talk as well, but also taking the air out of the supposed frontrunners. Problem is that a lot of media organs, including the RNC, still see the aforementioned as top contenders. You control things better when you control, or have a decent grasp, of information, and the liberty folks don't really have that now. Sure, there's commenting on stories, but you have to hope that we make enough noise to cause a stir.

It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.

This is why it is so much fun to cause the corrupt GOP to fail. As long as they want to cast integrity to the side, I will gladly help them lose to socialist Democrats. I don't care if it speeds up the decline, because this the illusion of the GOP standing for small and limited government is bull$#@!.

I'll never forget that nomination process. Even if I couldn't convince Republican voters to support Ron Paul, it was so easy to get into their heads and point out what a $#@!ty candidate Mitt Romney was.

"Oh, you're pro-life, support gun rights, and don't support govt run healthcare? Well, Romney ____ ___ _____ ......"

Sure the same can be said about McCain but he had the hero-veteran-patriot card to play and that draft dodger Mitt didn't.

I know they took votes from Ron. I do not know for sure if he would have won if they didn't. To my understanding of the situation, Mitt would still have won but it would have been closer. Is there evidence that Ron actually would have won?

Rick Santorum. And Newt Gingrich. Definitely not Ron Paul. Ron Paul 2012 supporters, yes, but not the Ron Paul 2012 campaign and the candidate.

It's why Ron Paul 2012 was running attack ads against Rick Santorum in Michigan, to make sure that Romney won that state. And in turn, the nomination. It's why Ron Paul 2012 helped make sure there would be no trouble at the RNC for Romney, by giving away half the Louisiana delegates. And Rand doing the endorsement and doing a speech. It's why Jesse Benton was filmed at the RNC basically saying they weren't going to even try for a brokered convention.

Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich were the thorns in Mitt Romney's side from actual political campaigns trying to win it. Ron Paul 2012 SUPPORTERS were the thorn in the RNC's and Mitt Romney for President 2012's side. But definitely not Ron Paul 2012.

Well, if you look at the FULL quote, you will see the context of it. No other campaign was even mentioned, and the documentary should be hitting Netflix this Friday (Jan. 24th).

Why is it that Ron Paul supporters seem to feel the need to take quotes out of context and purposefully misinterpret them only to delude and trick each other?

It's happening! It's all about the delegates! No, wait, it's all about the electoral college! No, wait, sign this petition for Ron Paul to run 3rd party!

Mitt Romney stole the nomination by using the media. You're average Republican supports things like the 2nd amendment and opposes things like govt run healthcare and abortion. Mitt was on the wrong side of those issues and his campaign was all about fooling people to support him. It didn't work.
