URGENT WARNING – U.S. Constitution and America’s Future is at stake
Debate - Jan. 9, 2014 - 5:30pm - Garland County Library Auditorium - Open to the public - To create community awareness of Major Looming Threat to U.S. Constitution
Why: Secret meeting was held 12/7/13 at Mt. Vernon by legislative group from 27 States , including Arkansas, to plan for petitioning U.S. Congress to call for a Constitutional Convention to propose changes to the U.S. Constitution that could result in loss of Bill of Rights. In attendance were four Arkansas legislators including Jason Rapert and Nate Bell.
If 7 additional states sign on, Congress is bound by law to call for the Convention of States (also known as a Con-Con). A Con-Con has never happened before.
There are no rules for such a Con-Con. Anything could happen when the constitution is opened for changes. Special interest groups could hi-jack the Convention. Loss of Bill of Rights is one possibility.
No one knows who the delegates will be, or if they will be appointed or elected. No one knows who will pay them. No one knows how many delegates from each state will be included. No one knows who will control the Convention or where it will be held.
Debate, January 9th, will be the first held in Arkansas. The debate will bring out all the information needed for the community to decide to support or defeat the Con -Con before it is too late to stop it.
