    Rand Paul On The Record

    - Rand Paul maintains a 100% Constitutional Voting Record (FreedomWorks 2021)

    - Rand Paul is founder and chairman of the anti-tax organization Kentucky Taxpayers United (KTU) (since 1994).

    - Rand Paul formed the Senate Tea Party Caucus with Jim DeMint and Mike Lee as its inaugural members (2011).

    - Rand Paul announced a class-action suit against the Obama Administration over the warrantless surveying the PRISM program allowed for the NSA to utilize. (2014)

    - Rand Paul introduced S.209 - Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2013.

    - Ran Paul led the 13-hour filibuster against drone strikes targeting Americans. (March 2013)

    - Rand Paul voted YES on S.Amdt. 263 to S.Con.Res. 8 - Rand Paul's Budget. This is Senator Rand Paul's budget plan, which would balance in five years, eliminate four Cabinet departments, replace the current tax code with a flat tax, and fundamentally reform all major entitlement programs.

    - Rand Paul voted NO on the Motion to Proceed: H.Con.Res. 34 - Rep. Paul Ryan budget, FY 2012. This budget proposal would not balance the budget until at least 2040 (28 years).

    - Rand Paul voted YES on S.Amdt. 1472 to S.Amdt. 1470 to S. 2038 - To prohibit earmarks. Amendment to the STOCK Act would eliminate the corrupting practice of earmarks in the Senate.

    - Rand Paul voted YES on S.Amdt.1473 to S.Amdt. 1470 to S. 2038 - To prevent the creation of duplicative and overlapping Federal programs.

    - Rand Paul voted YES on On the Motion to Proceed: S.J.Res. 37 - Disapproving of the EPA's Utility MACT rule.
This resolution would have invoked the Congressional Review Act to stop the implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency's Utility MACT rule. Utility MACT is among the most devastating environmental regulations ever passed, as it would make it nearly impossible for new coal-fired power plants to be built and is already putting existing plants out of business.

    - Rand Paul voted NO on H.R. 325 - To Increase the Debt Limit until May 19th, 2013

    - Rand Paul voted YES on S.Amdt. 30 to S.Amdt. 26 to H.R. 933 - To Defund ObamaCare. This amendment would effectively defund ObamaCare by tying its funding to economic growth reaching historical average levels. Defunding ObamaCare would reduce ten-year spending by over $1 trillion and would go a long way towards reducing our government's massive annual deficits.

    - Rand Paul voted NO on S.Amdt. 656 to S.Amdt. 578 to S.Con.Res. 8 - Allowing states to enforce an internet sales tax.

    - Rand Paul voted NO on On Cloture: S. 954 - The Farm Bill. The so-called "Farm Bill" is actually a combination of agricultural policy and welfare, with food stamps accounting for 80 percent of the bill's nearly trillion dollars in projected spending.

    - Rand Paul voted YES on S.Amdt. 515 to S.Con.Res. 8 - School Choice.

    - Rand Paul voted YES on S.Amdt 307 to S.Con.Res. 8 - To Eliminate the Estate Tax. This amendment to the Senate's budget resolution would call for the outright elimination of the estate tax (better known as the "death tax").

    - Rand Paul voted YES on S.Amdt.13 to S. 223 - To repeal the job-killing health care law. This amendment would fully repeal President Obama’s “Affordable Care Act” because it will kill jobs, bankrupt the government, drive up everyone's health insurance costs and put bureaucrats in charge of our health care.

    - Rand Paul: “Sometimes conservatives seem to believe that giving the federal government unprecedented power in spying or warrantless wiretapping is somehow a positive development, but this is exactly the sort of intrusiveness the Founders feared most. This sort of invasiveness is also precisely the reason we have a Second Amendment protecting our right to keep and bear arms.” (Feb 2011)

    - Rand Paul: “In the last nine years, the Federal Government has expanded the scope of its power at an alarming rate, while blatantly ignoring the Constitution. Whether it's passing the 315 page Patriot Act without a single member of Congress ever reading the bill, proposing a National ID Card, establishing FISA courts and utilizing warrantless searches, or betraying the medical privacy of ordinary citizens, the Federal Government has overstepped its limited powers as stipulated in the Constitution.” (Sept 2010)

    - Rand Paul: “The President believes that we should just squeeze more money out of those who are working. He's got it exactly backwards. I'm here to tell you, what we need to do is leave more money in the pockets of those who earned it.” (March 2013)

    - Rand Paul: “After the sequester, it was announced that the White House would stop giving tours. Administration officials said that it was due to "cuts" imposed by the sequester. Meanwhile the President found an extra $250 million to send to Egypt. You know, the country where mobs attacked our embassy, burned our flag, and chanted death to America. I say: not a penny more to countries that burn our flag. The President says he can't find anything to cut except for White House tours.” (March 2013)

    - Rand Paul: “Congress is debating the wrong things. Every debate in Washington is about how much to increase spending--a little or a lot. About how much to increase taxes--a little or a lot. Only in Washington could an increase of $7 trillion in spending over a decade be called a cut.” (Feb 2013)

    - Rand Paul: “We will fight to defend the entire Bill of Rights from the right to trial by jury to the right to be free from unlawful searches. We will stand up against excessive government power wherever we see it. We cannot and will not allow any President to act as if he were a king. We will not tolerate secret lists of American citizens who can be killed without trial.” (Feb 2013)

    - Rand Paul: “We pay more in taxes now than we spend on food, clothes and housing combined. Taxes are high because spending is out of control. We are spending ourselves into oblivion. Our deficit, as a percentage of gross national product, is greater than at any time in history. We are bankrupting our country, and the bottom line is that the politicians don't get it.” (Feb 2011)

    - Rand Paul is 100% Pro-Life.

    - Rand Paul: Exit the UN; maintain U.S. sovereignty. (Feb 2011)

    - Rand Paul opposes the so-called "NAFTA Superhighway" and any move toward a North American Union (Feb 2011)

    - Rand Paul: “Conservatives should criticize GOP when they grow government.” (Feb 2012)

    - Rand Paul: “Don't let the liberals tread on the Second Amendment.” (Feb 2013)

    - Rand Paul: “Patriot Act violates your gun rights.” (Feb 2011)

    - Rand Paul: “2nd Amendment is only as good as the 4th Amendment.” (Sep 2010)

    - Rand Paul voted NO on banning high-capacity magazines of over 10 bullets. (Apr 2013)

    - Rand Paul OPPOSES restrictions on the right to bear arms. (Aug 2010)

    - Rand Paul: “ObamaCare is still unconstitutional, despite Supreme Court.” (Aug 2012)

    - Rand Paul: Lower taxes encourage spending, saving, and investing. (Jul 2010)

What's his position on science? It is, after all, what change is made from. It defines the future. How would Rand Paul lead us as well as co-exist with other nations in this new scientific and technological world?

You want politicians to "lead" us in science? We already have too much of that scientific authoritarianism already.
