    John Kasich On The Record

    - John Richard Kasich was born May 13, 1952 to Anne and John Kasich.

    - In 1994, Kasich was one of the Republican leaders to support a last-minute deal with President Bill Clinton to pass the Federal Assault Weapons Ban. After a series of meetings with Clinton's Chief of Staff, Leon Panetta, who was also a long-time friend of Kasich, the assault weapons ban was passed when 42 Republicans crossed party lines and voted with the Democrats to ban assault weapons. Kasich's support of the assault-weapons ban angered the National Rifle Association, which gave Kasich an "F" rating.

    - Kasich served on the board of directors for several corporations, including Invacare Corporation and Chicago-based Norvax Inc. In 2001, Kasich joined Lehman Brothers' investment banking division as a managing director. He remained at Lehman Brothers until its bankruptcy and collapse in 2008.

    - Former chief of staff Curt Steiner: He's [Kasich] always had his own views. He's a biological Democrat... his parents were Democrats.

    - Governor John Kasich’s enactment of the Obamacare Medicaid expansion: The vote was a victory for Governor Kasich, who has spent the past eight months peddling leftist talking points — http://mediatrackers.org/ohio/2013/1...eveland-clinic and outright falsehoods — in favor of taking billions per year in new Obamacare spending to turn Medicaid into a broader entitlement program. President Obama cited Ohio Governor John Kasich’s embrace of the Obamacare Medicaid expansion as proof the law works during two separate November 14 speeches, flailing to defend his signature legislative achievement while it hikes insurance costs nationwide and causes millions to lose their policies.

    - John Kasich (R-OH) is taking flak from conservatives for his plan to expand Medicaid in his state. Not only have his actions been foolish and irresponsible, but he also violated the principle of representative government and even broke the law in order to implement it. http://www.freedomworks.org/blog/npl...on-in-medicaid

    - John Kasich refused to support a “right-to-work” ballot measure, which would ban mandatory union membership and dues, and nitpicking on lesser-known policies and statements, such as recent declarations he has made about his belief in climate change. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stor...th-kasich.html

    - John Kasich supports JobsOhio. Matt Mayer, former president of the Buckeye Institute, a conservative policy-research group, said, “The mentality behind JobsOhio is very much a blue, social model of government where the government can pick winners and losers.” JobsOhio officials have identified specific economic sectors on which to focus their efforts of business attraction and retention, and Mayer and others cite those decisions made by the nonprofit firm as the opposite of the free-market principles conservatives cherish. Kasich’s proposed tax increase on oil and gas wells to fund a statewide income-tax cut was criticized as a “spread-the-wealth” system. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stor...th-kasich.html

    - John Kasich Voted YES on more prosecution and sentencing for juvenile crime. (Jun 1999)

    - John Kasich Voted NO on maintaining right of Habeas Corpus in death penalty appeals. (Mar 1996) The Founders of our nation believed habeas corpus was so essential to preserving liberty, justice, and democracy that they enshrined it in the very first article of the United States Constitution.

    - John Kasich supports more prisons, more enforcement, effective death penalty. (Sep 1994)

    - John Kasich - More after-school programs with federal plus local funding. (May 1999)

    - John Kasich - Focus on terrorism. (Mar 1999)

    - John Kasich voted YES on $15.2 billion for foreign operations. (Nov 1999)

    - John Kasich voted NO on withdrawing from the WTO. (Jun 2000)

    - John Kasich 2004: If Kerry OR Bush wins, America will be fine. (May 2006)

On the plus side he's uh.... Not particularly offensive? I don't find myself wishing harm to him....

Wow, I knew he was bad, but this is ridiculous. No wonder why they kept pumping him up.

Kasich should be running in the Dem primary. He'd probably be winning.
