We have long had death and taxes as the two standards of inevitability. But there are those who believe that death is the preferable of the two. "At least," as one man said, "there's one advantage about death; it doesn't get worse every time Congress meets."
    Erwin N. Griswold

I am a libertarian. I am advocating everyone enjoy maximum freedom on both personal and economic issues as long as they do not bring violence unto others.

Whirling Dervishes are a New Jersey bar band that has been around for 40 years now.

Loved catching one of their shows around Christmas when they played this.

Much love and respect to Satchmo, but I like Buster's rendition better.

I'll take that GILFy Jersey redhead at 1:50 as well.

Not sure who that is. There were some MTV people in there, like Downtown Julie Brown.

    New favorite

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I know, I noticed that as well.

I have the feeling I know who she is somehow.

I saw this trio a couple nights ago.

Heather Pierson still nailing it note for note on the piano, she has two new sidemen on bass and percussion, as this vid is ten years old, but taken in a very pretty old church in Eaton NH.

This is her current line up, the sound quality is kind of potato due to acoustics and not having a real piano to play on here.

She was playing a full size Mason and Hamlin at the venue I saw her at. Yeah, it makes a difference.
