    Debra Medina

I met Debra Medina last week, and I was very impressed. She gets liberty. She wowed the large crowd by talking of no longer accepting federal monies. As the Comptroller the decision to accept or not accept federal monies would be hers, and she indicated that she plans not to accept any federal monies with strings attached. This down ballot election could be the most important election in 2014 because it could be precedent setting to deny federal regulations and spur other states to do the same. Please do everything that you can to support Debra.

    Pro:
When she ran for the governor's seat, it seemed like nullification and interposition were main themes of her answers.

    Pro:
This is one of the photos of her that was circulating back then:

    Pro:
When pressed by Glen Beck to denounce truthers, she admitted she doesn't know enough about their position to comment one way or the other, which I believe was the most rational answer I've ever heard a candidate give on that topic...

    CON:
...Unfortunately, that's not the answer Beck was looking for, and he spent about 10 minutes crucifying her for it when she was off the air, which pretty much sank her campaign.

So yeah, about the only real drawback to Medina that I know about is that she doesn't quite know how to keep opposition plants from turning pseudoconservatives against her.
That may have changed in the last coupe years, though.
There are no crimes against people.
There are only crimes against the state.
And the state will never, ever choose to hold accountable its agents, because a thing can not commit a crime against itself.
