Ohio house to call for a Con-Con this Wednesday, November 6

I have been informed by a JBS member that the Ohio Senate passed a bill calling for a constitutional convention. Now this Wednesday, November 6 the house will bring it up. He is asking anyone able to testify against the dangers of a constitutional convention this Wednesday.

If you can not attend at please at least call and/or write your Ohio rep. At least send this online pre-writen message from the JBS site:

Mark Levin's book, The Liberty Amendments has lead many into thinking a con-con is a good idea,

To understand why Levin's idea is dangerous

Do you know offhand what is the stated purpose of the Con. Conv.?

Ohio Senate OKs Push For U.S. Balanced Budget Article from the Columbus Dispatch
Posted October 31, 2013 by Majority Caucus

The state Senate voted yesterday to call for a national convention to add a balanced-budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
“We can look to different directions for what the problem is, but the impact needs us to look no farther than our children and grandchildren,” said Senate President Keith Faber, who sponsored the measure. “This resolution takes a step in the right direction to solve this problem.”
The Celina Republican said the resolution comes in response to the “dysfunctional” government in Washington that has allowed the national debt to surpass $16 trillion.
State Sen. Tom Sawyer, D-Akron, spoke at length against the proposal, but only two senators joined him to oppose it.
To hold a constitutional convention, 34 states would need to call for one. Then that convention would need to produce an amendment requiring the federal government to balance budgets, and 38 states would need to ratify it to add it to the U.S. Constitution......
"Sorry, fellows, the rebellion is off. We couldn't get a rebellion permit."
