The news is spreading all over.

UK police checking new information on death of Princess Diana

    Published August 17, 2013
    FoxNews.com

LONDON – British police say they are examining newly received information relating to the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed, and that officers are assessing the information's "relevance and credibility."
Scotland Yard declined to provide details about the information, only saying Saturday in a statement that the assessment will be carried out by officers from its specialist crime and operations unit.
The force stressed that it was not reopening the investigation into the 1997 deaths of Diana and Fayed, who were killed in a car crash in Paris.

Sky News reported that an unnamed source said the new information is believed to be that Diana and Fayed were killed by a member of the British military. The information was passed to police by the parents-in-law of a former soldier, the report said.

Exactly, a rumor sourced to parents-in-laws of an SAS soldier about a killing in 1997 of British Princess Diana who in turn was rumored to be pregnant with baby of a muslim father and future step-sibling of future British King has caused Scottland Yard to reopen an investigation in 2013.

In sharp contrast, US DC Police pupms can't seem to find time to open investigation into persistent rumors since 2003 about Iraq having no WMDs after those rumors caused killing/maiming of almost a million people.

No, my kitten does that just because she wants to drink out of the human glass. There could be a bowl of water a foot away but she'll go for the glass every time. I guess because 'people are cool' or something.

What was revealed in the Diana Tapes, why did Channel 4 show them and when were they recorded by Peter Settelen?

Diana let Settelen set up a video camera as she poured her heart out, revealing intimate details about her love life and marriage.

The footage – 50 hours filmed over 18 months in 1992 and 1993 – was never meant to be shown in public but courtiers warned her Settelen might sell it for his “pension”.

Seven of a total of 12 tapes were found by cops in a 2001 raid on the home of Diana’s butler Paul Burrell.

Settelen launched legal action to have them returned to him and then sold them to US network NBC, which broadcast some of the material in 2004.

At the time Tory MP Sir Teddy Taylor asked broadcasters not to use the tapes in Prince William or Harry’s lifetimes.

In 2007 the BBC paid £30,000 to use excerpts in a documentary, but it was shelved amid controversy.

The other five tapes are said to be missing.

Kevin Sim, who produced the stalled BBC documentary and is also behind the new Channel 4 programme, said: “I believe we’ve got seven tapes.
