Trent Franks/Brad Sherman's Congress Bill prompted Mideast Embassies Shutdown?

or any other credible cause for timing of this threat alert and US mideast embassies shutdown this Sunday? This seems more credible reason than Obama's birthday as trigger for this alert as CNBC has speculated.

Members of Congress seek to move US Embassy to Jerusalem

Bipartisan bill highlights cost savings to US Government; Congressman 'committed to unity of Jerusalem as Israel's undivided capital for historical, biblical and moral reasons'

Members of Congress have introduced legislation that would transfer the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, sending a message of commitment and resolve to Israel and also presenting the US government with a cost-saving measure at a time of major budget cuts.

The bipartisan bill, known as the Recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel Act (H.R. 2846), comes as Israelis and Palestinians are resuming peace negotiations after a three-year hiatus, and is intended to offer an unflinching sign of support on Capitol Hill for Jerusalem as Israel’s undivided capital.

The bill, which is being sponsored by Representatives Trent Franks (AZ-08), Brad Sherman (CA-30), Doug Lamborn (CO-05), Gene Green (TX-29), Juan Vargas (CA-51), is now being circulated among members of Congress.

“For historical, biblical and moral reasons, we are committed to the unity of Jerusalem as Israel's undivided capital with no waivers and no caveats," said Congressman Doug Lamborn. "Our unflinching support is especially crucial at this critical hour of turbulence throughout the region."
“I am proud to be an original co-sponsor of the Recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel Act. I voted for the Jerusalem Embassy Act in 1995, which called for the American Embassy to be moved to Jerusalem, and this new legislation will assure that the intent of the 1995 law is finally fulfilled," Congressman Gene Green.

“As an ardent supporter of our greatest ally in the region, I believe that transferring our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem will reaffirm our commitment to the state of Israel,” said Congressman Juan Vargas. “As a continuation of over 3,000 years of Jewish history, Jerusalem must remain the undivided and eternal capital of Israel."

This CNBC speculation courtesy of LoneStarLocke seems far less credible as trigger for this alert:

Sunday is President Barack Obama's 52nd birthday, and it's also the day Iran inaugurates Hassan Rowhani as its new president. But U.S. officials told NBC News they had heard nothing to indicate that the date was chosen for either of those reasons.[/QUOTE]

Israel aka AIPAC has been pushing the US to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem for a long time.

Israel hopes US taxpayers will build the new embassy on newly "acquired" land in East Jerusalem.

That movement was pre-9/11 , could be wrong but this is first time I have seen a new Congress Bill to revive US Embassy move from Israel's capitol Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Worldwide, 22 U.S. embassies and consulates are preparing to close their doors Sunday. The State Department says there is a potential for a terrorist attack "particularly in the Middle East and North Africa."

Intercepted al Qaeda message led to shuttering embassies, consulates

By Barbara Starr. Chris Lawrence and Tom Cohen,CNN
updated 10:05 PM EDT, Sun August 4, 2013

(CNN) -- An intercepted message among senior al Qaeda operatives in the last several days raised alarm bells that led to the closing of embassies and consulates Sunday across the Middle East and North Africa, CNN has learned.
CNN has agreed to a request from an Obama administration official not to publish or broadcast additional details because of the sensitivity of the information.

Wagdi Al-Absi, a university professor based there, told CNN that the threats and warnings are exaggerated.
"Al Qaeda was a real threat and very powerful in Yemen two years ago. Still, embassies did not close," he said. "Today, when al Qaeda is handicapped, the West considers them a real threat. It's the total opposite.
"Streets in Yemen are normal, and security forces are always on the watch. That is why al Qaeda attacks in the capital are not common."
