A private meeting does what? Christie's not part of the federal government; he's state. And not part of legislature; he's executive.

Let it be in public on a national TV show. Our guy could win a lot of Christie fans and even a lot of Democrats with a quality debate in prime time.

So far it seems to be working and we can all celebrate that.

I would envision a private meeting to lay out our terms straight.

I'm not understanding what you think would be the result of such a meeting.
