New PPP numbers for Greg Brannon/NC Senate

    http://www.politico.com/story/2013/0...3.html?ml=po_r

    http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/m...his-month.html

    Brannon favorable-unfavorable-unsure: 7%-22%-72%

    Hagan 49%, Brannon 39%, 12% unsure

    Brannon favorable-unfavorable-unsure (among Republicans?): 7%-19%-74%

    Primary choice:
    Someone else/Not sure 35%, Foxx 16%, Berger 11%, Cain 11%, Ellmers 11%, Brannon 7%, Tillis 5%, etc.

Among the GOP, Brannon gets 56% from 'very liberals', 27% from 'somewhat liberals', 5% from 'moderates', 3% from 'somewhat conservatives' and 4% from 'very conservatives'
I ignore the fact that RP's take back the GOP strategy is working. I ignore the fact that RP accomplished more from his 2008 GOP run than he ever has before. I ignore the fact that 3rd party candidates lose and are a joke to voters. I ignore all this b/c I have an arousing fantasy where RP runs 3rd party in 2012, magically polls at 15%, magically is allowed in the debates, and then magically wins the election. Trust me, it'll work this time.

Gotta work on the conservative vote! They need to know who Brannon is.

Maybe someone could organize a grassroots fundraiser to buy ads in newspapers to get his name out?

We had a moneybomb last Quarter. Maybe the next one will generate more interest. We need to get closer to the election.

A sane person wouldn't run for U.S. Senate without having some sort of plan to raise enough money to win.

I say this as a Brannon fan.

It's disappointing that us candidacy hasn't caught on well. We need to get him cash or move on to a winnable race.

It's still really early in the race.

What we need is to start getting outside groups to know who he is and that the grassroots wants them to help him out. Letters need to be sent to:

    FreedomWorks
    Club for Growth - http://www.clubforgrowth.org/contact/?id=39
Americans for Prosperity - apperently does not endorse candidates?
National Federation of Independent Business - http://www.nfib.com/contact-us and sharon.sussin@nfib.org (candidate endorsements) and gregg.thompson@nfib.org (NC state director)
    Campaign For Liberty
    YAL
    Tea Party Patriots/Express/Nation
    National Tea Party Federation
    Republican Liberty Caucus
Grass Roots North Carolina (2A group) - http://www.grnc.org/contact
National Association for Gun Rights - Endorsed!

Good. Now it's time for the other 2nd Amendment groups to follow them and do the same!

Edit: Just sent them all emails.

I know Campaign for Liberty can't legally endorse, but don't have a PAC? I don't know why but I thought they did.

There is Liberty PAC, but I don't think that's directly affiliated, it's more Ron's leadership PAC.

Should probably write to them too if they're still active. I'm sure Ron would endorse Brannon and his PAC can give $5000.

    Edit: This is disturbing...

Also, didn't I read on these boards that Paul, Cruz, etc are ready to endorse Brannon as soon as he shows he can raise a certain amount of money?

Yup, Team Brannon put out the total of $75k to bring in the bigger names and it'll still likely happen it's just that the news reel is keeping the big boys busy atm.

I forget where but someone posted Brannon's total fundraising at $125k tho I'm not sure where he stood at the close of the quarter. It still should be good for incoming help.

Looks like he raised $73,000 total, spent $40,000, and has $52,000 on hand.

Got a reply from Gun Owners of America regarding endorsing him:

    Jebby,

Thank you for contacting us. We are currently formatting our candidate survey and we will be sending it to Mr. Greg Bannon to fill out.

    Chris Stone
    Director of Federal Affairs
    Gun Owners of America
I hope he answers their survey properly and gets this big endorsement!
