NAACP Is 'Outraged And Heartbroken,' And Will Pursue 'Civil Rights Charges' Against George Zimmerman

    July 13, 2013

The NAACP said late Saturday that it was "outraged and heartbroken" over the not-guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial, vowing to pursue "civil rights charges" with the Department of Justice.

"We are outraged and heartbroken over today’s verdict," said Ben Jealous, president and CEO of the NAACP. "We stand with Trayvon’s family and we are called to act. We will pursue civil rights charges with the Department of Justice, we will continue to fight for the removal of Stand Your Ground laws in every state, and we will not rest until racial profiling in all its forms is outlawed."

Discrimination against an attacker I suppose. If those that listen to these race baiters ever really thought things through about what they are saying, then they would stop listening to them.

The NAACP needs to keep playing their ace of spades to continue to have any sort of meaningfulness. I posit that they're only going to hurt their standing with the average American and I wouldn't be surprised if they have every incentive to turn the clock back on relations.

What will they say/do when a black person/family need to defend themselves?
"Power tends to confuse itself with virtue...conferring upon it a special responsibility for other nations—to make them richer and happier and wiser, to remake them, that is, in its own shining image. Power confuses itself with virtue and tends also to take itself for omnipotence. Once imbued with the idea of a mission, a great nation easily assumes that it has the means as well as the duty to do God's work." - William Fulbright

I'm reminded of the episode of South Park episode where Randy said the N-Word on Wheel of Fortune. Long story short, his son tries to apologize to the one Black kid, Token, saying that his father spoke to Jesse Jackson about it. Token responds "Jesse Jackson is not the emperor of Black people!"

I feel like enough people need to say that the NAACP does not carry the voices of all of Black America. Seriously, let this go already. The media pushed this into the ground, day by day, now just let it die.

ya this is true. All the black people I know don't give a crap about the trial. The media just makes it look like black people really care. It's a shame TPTB would rather everyone judge people by their race, not their actions.

A savage barbaric tribal society where thugs parade the streets and illegally assault and murder innocent civilians, yeah that is the alternative to having police. Oh wait, that is the police

They are either implying this or implying all assaults are perpetrated by black individuals. Either way, the irony is deafening.

Oh the irony: “we will not rest until racial profiling in all its forms is outlawed.”

And we will accomplish these ends, even if doing so requires us to incite racism to end that very racism!

Is this real though? “Ben Jealous” like I’ve been jealous, really?
