1858 Beals Revolver -- anyone know the worth?

So, I have this antique revolver. Anyone know the value of it?

It is rough shape - I can tell that just from the photo. I recently sold one in fair condition for $850 at auction. In the same environment I would suspect yours would sell for roughly $275 - $350 and that would be a high estimate.

I can understand that. The problem is that while it is a very cool and historically important firearm - there are tons of them left. It is like civil war era colts.. They were the most popular sidearm carried on both sides during the war and consequently you find tons of them out there in near mint condition. The Remington was a close second in popularity and you see tons of those as well in fair to mint condition. When one has damage it drops considerably and the market for non usable historic firearms is down because of economic conditions and the fears over certain modern weapons being made illegal.

If it works I will give you a $100 for it , I will just use it, so , not worth more than that to me , I can buy a new reproduction Navy for slightly more than that. You should keep it .
