APMEX is about $4 or $5 over spot (depending on how much you buy). Gainesville Coins is about $4 over spot.

Wish I had money to load up, but am saving for other things at the moment.

    This is the next crash.

I said in a full crash event silver would go as low as 18$.

It now looks like China is joining the crash party - that is big. They have been the engine for growth and optimism for the last....30 years?

I should've waited longer. I bought when the price was $22.80 an ounce.

You bought at the appropriate time. We are heading into madness now. Supply has largely vanished.

Sales volume on Apmex (for a few categories of gold/silver bars that I've been monitoring) exploded over the last ~24 hours. They also jacked up premiums on numerous offerings.

Tulving currently lists their entire inventory as sold out. I've never seen that before.

I haven't been paying much attention to economics, precious metals, or other commodities over the past 6 months or so. Can anyone give me a sparks notes version of why PMs have dropped in price so much?

I just inherited a 280 piece silverware set from my grandmother. Pure sterling silver. Not sure how much it's worth, but each piece is 'heavy'

And when people say "you can't eat silver!" you can say "no, but I can eat WITH it!!!"

Thank you. That is one possibility I remember considering last fall, but I didn't think it was going play out quite like this. Oh well, live and learn, if that's even possible in our manipulated market.

Doesn't seem that long ago people were saying silver was going to $50 and they should stock up. It was $35 back in October. Peaked $46 in April 2011 and has been pretty much heading down since (off 58% since). http://www.bullionvault.com/silver-price-chart.do Gold peaked August of that same year- it is down 33% today. Nah- wasn't a bubble.

Out of every one hundred men they send us, ten should not even be here. Eighty will do nothing but serve as targets for the enemy. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, upon them depends our success in battle. But one, ah the one, he is a real warrior, and he will bring the others back from battle alive.

I am covered no matter what , in ea aspect. I am still going to pick up some more tomorrow, got some yesterday @ spot.I still think copper ,silver, gold are currently under valued , but if I am wrong and the markets go through the roof I will make some money there. It is all a crap shoot.

Silver, gold, ammunition - I consider owning metal a worthwhile hedging strategy.

Yeah, that's basically my luck as well. I bought 500 American Silver Eagles and the price has gone down over $3 an ounce since I bought it. If I had waited and bought it now I could've saved at least $1,500.
