Karen Handel enters GA Senate race

Broun will need some defending, though Handel's establishment cred might hurt the other "establishment" types more than Broun.

She isn't seen as establishment here in Georgia. In fact, she was seen as the tea party non-establishment candidate in 2010 against Governor Deal.

Broun is the only candidate in this race worth voting for. The other 3 guys, while probably better than the average Republican, are not true constitutionalists.

I would think the more candidates that enter, the better it gets for Paul Broun. I can't imagine anyone leaning or backing Bround leaving him for another candidate but Gingrey, Kingston and Handel are generic enough that their support probably isn't as loyal.
"Unlike my opponents, I'm not running from my voting record. I'm not running from my public statements. I'm not running from my predictions. I'm running on them." -Ron Paul

"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule." - H.L. Mencken

    I am a non-interventionist,anti-Fed, anti-drug war socially conservative Paul supporter(i.e. paleocon)

She is definitely doing this because the establishment are worried about Broun and she's a threat to him considering she's a former statewide official and ran Deal close.

Rep. Gingrey is really trying to out-conservative Rep. Broun.

If you go to his Facebook page, the only other pages he likes are the following: GOP Doctor's Caucus, NRA, Jim Demint, Ron Johnson, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio.

To an ordinary conservative, he would look like a great candidate.

Broun needs to make sure he gets the Tea Partiers in the state on board, the social conservatives et.c then we need to make sure we get the national groups behind him through working contacts and pestering them until they give in

Her and Broun both showed up at a local Raw milk drink in yesterday. Broun stayed and drank with them, Handel wouldn't. Seems like there's no question.

I voted for Deal back in 2010 for Governor after Ray McBerry lost in the primary just to make sure Handel didn't win the nomination. Then voted for Deal in the primary because I didn't want the democrat in office,he was the one that stole our flag from us several years back.

That's interesting, since Deal is probably the more conservative of the two.
