NH: Pseudo cop tries to stop me from filming public meeting at Manchester City Hall

I want to question educrats, etc., about their latest authoritarian endeavors. Outside a school board meeting. But this visit plays out very differently from normal.

Also Ridley, you should do more to increase your twitter presence. It bothers me that you don't have many followers there.

Can you post some suggestions here?

There's probably better people than me to advise but I'll give it a shot...

    From a standpoint on content:
It looks like you are using the tweet button over at youtube for each video.

The first thing is to cut off the "via @YouTube" part at the end. Youtube's twitter doesn't need the promotion. It's taking up character room that you could use for hashtags and key words.

#HashTags = You need to use more hash tags on key words that people click and search. If you need more info here's twitter's explanation.

    An example tweet:
Dave Ridley ‏@RidleyReport 23 Mar NH guns: House Speaker blows off my 2nd amendment question: http://youtu.be/aMctvPGAaXo?a via @YouTube
Some slight tweaks I would make:
Dave Ridley ‏@RidleyReport 23 Mar NH #guns: House Speaker blows off my 2nd amendment question: http://youtu.be/aMctvPGAaXo?a #tcot #tlot
#tcot stands for "Top Conservatives on Twitter" I don't think you're really a conservative per se. Neither am I. But that hashtag is widely used and conservatives are allies for some liberty. It's one of the most popular hashtags if not the most popular one. People are clicking on it and watching that feed.

#tlot stands for "Top Libertarians on Twitter". Not quite as popular but it accurately describes you and helps other libertarians see your tweets (and hopefully follow you)

#guns is a popular topic and I'd hashtag other nouns that show up my tweets like #marijuana, #sequester, #liberty, etc, etc

I wouldn't make my whole tweet hashtags because that's annoying but hot button key words people might search should be hashtagged.

Also Free State Project which is what you're all about uses these 2 #FSP (has a soccer meaning but freestaters use it too) and #FreeStateProject You might even want to make that your own "#tcot" instead.

Also like #FreeStateProject above, you could combine phrases (remove space between) for a hashtag. Example: #RonPaul

Tweet your videos more than once:

Your only posting the videos you make. I understand you're not using twitter as an interaction tool but as promotional tool and that's fine.

I would tweet the videos multiple times, hours apart. Days apart if you're not going to have a new video the next day. Maybe twice with the same title then reword the title to catch attention. People that use twitter a lot often are following thousands of people who are tweeting non stop. Your followers are very likely not seeing your single tweets for each video through all of the other tweets.

Look at @PatDollard's method. (Not his actual message. He's a neocon $#@!) Pay attention as you scroll down and see his tweets linking to his blog posts. He will have tweeted the same post 4 hours ago and 10 minutes ago and maybe inbetween that time too. He does that with every blog post because he's trying to get more people to see it.

Also people that interact with others on twitter are going to get more followers but I understand not having time for it. Your content alone has many followers, just not as many on twitter. It wouldn't be too much work to retweet some of your FSP buddies' tweets to make it look like you are more active there.

Promote Your Twitter Account to Gain Followers:

Here's where I'm not going to be a lot of help. But here's a shot...

You've got plenty of libertarian contacts. Your youtube channel is well-known.

Ask your friends online and offline to follow you. LOL you've probably already done that, I know. But from my perspective you've got the ear of some modern day heroes for liberty like the Freemans (Ian, Derrick J, and Ademo) as well as others.

You also have your youtube videos that are getting tons of views. I could be wrong but I don't think you really promote your twitter or other social networks on your videos. Some text in the corner of the video, a short mention etc. Like you have the text RidleyReport.com superimposed over the video. You could do that with "Follow @RidleyReport".

Also you kind of have a branding problem. I like your goofy adverts. I laugh at them every time but you might want just a few seconds at the beginning and end of the videos to have a logo that originally identifies you. I'm thinking the 4409 guy for example. Not sure why I went off on promoting your website except that I see some potential that isn't being utilized.

You do occasionally promote some personal links in video descriptions. As a youtube user, I must admit I don't often pay attention to the text description. It's better to also promote it within the video IMO.
