I voted for Dr. Paul on Jan. 8th, 2008!

That being said, I don't discourage people from typing one letter and printing it 100 times, just make sure you sign the letters!
And handwrite the address on the envelope. People will often not pay much attention to printed addresses. It looks like junk mail.

Manny -- I'm one of the two point people for the Letter Writing Campaign (http://www.rp-supporters.com/letters.html). My recommendation is to avoid the Hillary comparisons at this point because we're trying to get Ron Paul to win the Republican nomination first.

Hey rs3515 look at my previous post in this thread and let me know if I need to get this information to anyone else in the letter writing campaign. I think it would make our writing more effective but maybe I'm alone on this point.

I do a lot of data analysis in my job. I took the 2004 primary turnout numbers (from the state election website) and merged them onto a 2004 population estimate by county (census.gov). That gave me turnout percentages (I have total, democrat, republican, and also libertarian + constitutional turnout in the general election).

Then I merged this county information onto a zip code to county mapping that was available from the website of a company that provide analysis software to my company.

So now all we have to do it get people to write to the highest turnout zip codes first.

You need to update the tally numbers on the first page.

I discussed this with Bryce a bit earlier (I'm Ron from the website). I think we're confident right now we can get through all the addresses. If we start to get down to the last week and we've still got a lot, then I might be able to work with you to get a prioritization.

The tough thing will be the addresses are not in an easy format for data manipulation. You'd probably have to extract the data from Word files, merge them, do your thing in Excel and then do a new mail merge.

    You're in Austin, right?
