    Con-Con call in Indiana?

What the hell is going on?
Anyone in IN know anymore about this? Are any other states cooperating in this matter?

I received this in an email from a meetup (originators name removed for privacy)

Indiana's Senate Pro Tempore David Long announced today that he is filing a con-con call. See below.

The bill is not on the General Assembly's site yet but we know all committees have to have their reports filed no later than Feb. 21st so this will have a hearing before Friday of next week.

We need to contact our senators immediately and tell them this is just crazy dangerous! Besides, anything a call purports to do, the Constitution can do if they just follow it!
To clarify, @sendavidlong will introduce legislation to call for this constitutional gathering of states. #INLegis

    Another email from same person:

If you think a con-con is a way to get what you want - EXACTLY. The problem is - not everyone wants good things!

by Rexford G. Tugwell, published 1974 illustrates with chilling clarity the final objective of regional governance conspirators. The goal is a corporate state concentrating economic, political and social powers in the hands of a ruling elite. "A Constitution for the Newstates of America", is the fortieth version of this revolutionary document prepared by a team of social experimenters at the CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS, Fund for the Republic (Ford Foundation), Post Office Box 4068, Santa Barbara, California 93103.

The Center, its first objective accomplished, has appointed socialist-oriented University of Denver Chancellor Maurice B. Mitchell as its new head and may merge with the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies, a Colorado-based world government policy promotion agency.

Aspen Institute Chairman is Robert O. Anderson, chief executive officer, Atlantic Richfield Company; member, Committee for Economic Development (laid ground work for regional government), and advisory board member, Institute for International Education. Anderson is the principal figure in campaign aimed at seizing control of the National Rifle Association.

Yeah, I think it's interesting. The grassroots in Indiana is against a con con obviously. It really just feels so legalistic to me. It seems that the gop in the senate wants to change what's going on. They don't want to do through nullification because they view it as illegal. But they want to have a con con to change the constitution which is obviously so risky because you never know the outcome.

I think it's good that politicians are at least having to confront the issue of nullification. They are denying it's constitutionality but having the conversation is a step in the right direction. It's just sad that the gop would rather side with Rachel Maddow and believe that nullification is illegal as opposed to Thomas Jefferson and James Madison some guys that the GOP always look too for wisdom etc.

It's pretty interesting I think. Hopefully this con con doesn't happened.

Well, our Founders did not foresee the corrupt career politicians we have today. Clearly, something has to be done.
