Ted Nugent unloads: Gun owners the next Rosa Parks

There will come a time when the gun owners of America,
the law-abiding gun owners of America,
    will be the Rosa Parks
and we will sit down on the front seat of the bus,
    case closed.”

This was the response of Ted Nugent, rock legend and long-time defender of the Second Amendment, when asked what he would do should the government decide to go forward with any of the many firearms-confiscation plans now being developed.

In an exclusive interview with WND, Nugent, who said at the National Rifle Association convention last year that, “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” unloaded on the recent news that Obama is considering an executive order to deal with guns.

The Weekly Standard reported that, “Vice President Joe Biden revealed that President Barack Obama might use an executive order to deal with guns.”

“The president is going to act,” said Biden, giving some comments to the press before a meeting with victims of gun violence. “There are executive orders, there’s executive action that can be taken.

Each person must live their life as a model for others.
    []
    I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear;
knowing what must be done does away with fear.
    []
Memories of our lives, of our works and our deeds will continue in others.
    []
I would like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free...
so other people would be also free.
    []
I'm tired of being treated like a second-class citizen.
    []
Whatever my individual desires were to be free, I was not alone.
There were many others who felt the same way.

'We endorse the idea of voluntarism; self-responsibility: Family, friends, and churches to solve problems, rather than saying that some monolithic government is going to make you take care of yourself and be a better person. It's a preposterous notion: It never worked, it never will. The government can't make you a better person; it can't make you follow good habits.' - Ron Paul 1988

Ted Nugent has the right idea. It's time to point out the racist history of gun control. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthr...of-GUN-CONTROL Here's a good video put out by "Jews for the preservation of gun control" entitled "No Guns for Negroes". I know that's not the specific angle Ted is pushing (he's talking about civil disobedience) but it's a good tie in.

Here's a recent blog post at the Independent Institute that makes a similar point.

Ted Nugent doesn't have the balls to refrain from supporting gun grabbers like Mitt Romney. In his endorsement, Nugent called Romney a "good man who will properly represent we the people"...so a "good man who properly represents we the people" is someone who signs assault weapon bans into law?

I certainly haven't paid attention to what he's said over the years...

I just based my opinion on the fact that I think he's nuts enough to make a stand.

It could be that Ted's like a lot of folks and blinded by the party? I really don't know..
