It was my doing, everyone. I work in the Rainbow Factory, and I decided to shower Rand with a gift.

The line to start thanking me starts at the door.

At first, I thought people were trying to be funny when talking about "using" this to an "advantage", because it makes reference to a meme. I read this thread hoping for jokes and banter. I think most people would laugh if this was "used", thinking one is trying to be funny at first... then realize they're being serious and become unamused.

Come on, Yieu, turn that frown upside down. Have a Double Rainbow Fudge Popsicle, it'll cool those nerves down and make you forget about those little nasties trying to use my precious rainbows for their own nefarious political purposes.

Despite a belief to the contrary evangelicals aren't 60 IQ retards who you can just show a video to and that makes them to decide who to vote for.

Put it this way: If Obama saw a double rainbow would you change your views or your vote. Of course not. And you'd be offended and/or laugh if someone wanted to change your politics because of a rainbow.

One of my complaints of people on this forum is they perceive anyone who is not a Ron Paul fan to be a disinfo agent or retarded. The world isn't that simple.
Ron Paul: "For those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do."

If you were a religious democrat you might see it differently than if you were a religious Republican. It is just a nice thing that happened, and a rainbow is a sign of hope. But the whole subject is being over-analyzed at this point.

    The world isn't that simple.
True, intelligence and discernment are two different things. There are many things that can affect the discernment of an intelligent person.

I have a problem with steering the naive or uninformed by use of imaginary things that are known to the driver to have an effect on those naive or uninformed. It is not unlike steering elections by giving out phones and then allowing the poor to think the phones are free and from Obama, because someone has to pay for them and it ain't Obama.

I don't think that it will steer anyone. Rand's reaction to it just showed a part of him that people might identfy with. That's all. It's about likeability.

There are people in the Liberty movement who beleive stuff that they were culturally conditioned to assume also, that doesn't make us all stupid.
