I think it would be simple enough to let the people who live on the Falkland Is. decide what they want to be. Someone mentioned Gibraltar and that's pretty much the same issue. Even if Argentina was successful in taking the Falklands (not likely), they'd still have to contend with an unhappy and possibly unruly population with closer ties to Britain.

Whether the British or the Argentinian governments want to lay claim to the Falklands is really irrelevant. It's really what the people on the islands want, which is important.

The people on the islands should decide what nationality they want.

Argentina is just saber-rattling to distract from the economic hell that they're currently in, I doubt they'll try anything.

lets look at the IRA vs. Northern Ireland.

It's British Imperialism-Colonialism... which is done through conquest, strength, and force.

It is ALWAYS 'The Haves' compared to the weak 'Have Nots'. British power rule and migration to swing the majority to the conquerers favor.

British Protestants is Northern Ireland, British Protestants to the Flakland Islands...

Just like what the Jews have done in Israel. Notice they provide free fertility drugs to Jewish people only within the state. There's a little bit most people don't realize about USAID package to Israel. Allocated deep in the text is funding to migrate Jews back to Israel. The US aka US Taxpayers spends $50 Million a year, providing funds to migrate Jews to Israel to keep the majority race in place. They don't want a minority Apartheid on their hands in the State of Israel in the future.

    Northern Ireland belongs to Ireland.

    Las Malvinas belongs to Argentina

All of Palestine lands belongs back with the poor Palestinians, not a bunch racketeering globalist bankster's politicians, paid-off to give a specific connected group someone else land and given the green light to persecute the inferior poor that live there.

It's ALWAYS 'The Haves' taking from the 'Have Nots'.

Anyway the UK threats are worthless without US support they could not invade Malta let alone fight a war.Not that the socialist Argentinians have any bite to their bark either. It would be like watching two 80 year old grandmothers with bad hips and sight fight,SAD.
It was pathetic the first time they fought... the best the British could muster were those crappy sea Harriers... the 1980's equivalent of a wet noodle.

Are they going to fight this war with guns or do they plan on using baseball bats and knifes? I bet they use guns and lots of them. And of course bombs, missiles, torpedoes, maybe even a nuclear submarine. Heck, weapons are only for the nations don't you know, not you little guys we call "citizens," or more correctly labeled "peasants!" hahahaha! No weapons for your average Brit are allowed, but plenty of them for the elites' sake.

Every day I've posted on RPF there's been some fear of WW3.

I'd rather focus on our day to day. BTW shit all will happen here - and if it does it won't impact any of us.

You think world war three will not impact any of us? I think maybe you have been watching too many movies and are not aware of reality.

I don't think England and Argentina are going to start a world war. Actually I know they won't.

I'm 1,000 times more likely to die in a car accident or by some random violence than a make believe war between two countries who have been talking shit to each other for a few decades.

    Stop living in fear.

That video is inaccurate. It says the United Kingdom comprises of 4 "co-equal sovereign nations." That is false. The United Kingdom is a unitary state, the only sovereign entity is the Crown.

Hey, saber-rattling is what nations do best when their country is going down the shitter. In fact, the United States has gotten so good at it we're pretty much in a state of perpetual war, both here and abroad, against threats that don't even exist. An easy way to keep a populace in check, really.

As an argentinian (was born there and lived there for three years, but my heart belongs to the United States), I can say that OH MY GOD WHO CARES ABOUT THAT STUPID ISLAND!

If anyone here want's to know the Real reason why Argentina wants the Island is real simple.

After the end of socialst Peron, military keynes came propping up and Argentina was corrupted again, the leaders wanted to steal all of the money that Argentina has made (remember, Argentina was one of the richest countries during that time due to WW1 and WW2) and made a giant hysteria of how it was "theres" (still no one cared if it were theres or not) and why they must "save" the region. They decided to make an attack and made a national draft to the young men to go there and fight while of course behind the curtain they were stealing all the money. I am objective in this writing(not objectivist :P), but if Argentina was to supposibly "fight" the UK, UK would have lost (reasons why include that internationally Argentina had the recognition for obtaining the island, South America was for Argentina, and military dictators around the world supported Argentina such as the USSR). The reason why there was no money effort for Argentina was that after the war, many leaders soon resigned and left; theres a reason why Argentina didn't decide to conquer the entire 3rd world continent rich with many resources and decided to fight against the UK (with the U.S. as it's ally).

True. Overall, it helps with distinguishing the UK from Great Britain from England etc.

Yeah it's annoying when people say "Queen of England" even though there has been no Kingdom of England since 1707.

I can't see the conflict going ahead, I wouldn't agree with it. I don't care about the Falkland Islanders.

But yes the Islanders want to remain with UK jurisdiction.

They would be vulnerable to attack without the British armed forces. There's only about 2,000 residents on the island.

I cannot escape the drive to hold that the British are the most stupid, self-centered, and evil people on the planet.

Let them fight another war to drive them further to the brink of economic collapse. The first war in the Falklands, as I recall, spanked them terribly in economic terms. Let it happen again. More debt on the UK is a great thing. The sooner they collapse and sink into the sea, the better off the world. The UK is a primary seat of evil on this planet. People are conditioned to bristle at the thought of Hitler, yet he was not so much as a third-rate pimp in comparison with the Brits for sheer tyranny.

Habeo excelsum artem; afflixerim cum crudelitate illis qui laedas me

Shelley's thinly veiled warning to tyrants:

The monster saw my determination in my face and gnashed his teeth in the impotence of anger. "Shall each man," cried he, "find a wife for his bosom, and each beast have his mate, and I be alone? I had feelings of affection, and they were requited by detestation and scorn. Man! You may hate, but beware! Your hours will pass in dread and misery, and soon the bolt will fall which must ravish from you your happiness forever. Are you to be happy while I grovel in the intensity of my wretchedness? You can blast my other passions, but revenge remains--revenge, henceforth dearer than light or food! I may die, but first you, my tyrant and tormentor, shall curse the sun that gazes on your misery. Beware, for I am fearless and therefore powerful. I will watch with the wiliness of a snake, that I may sting with its venom. Man, you shall repent of the injuries you inflict.
