    Rush mentions Schiff

    Nice plug for Schiff here:

    -
Now, there was a guy on CNBC. Does the name Peter Schiff ring a bell? It does to me. I've seen this name over and over. He is the CEO of something called Euro Pacific Capital. He lives in Connecticut. He was on CNBC recently, and he said, "First of all, I'm in the top two percent. Right now, I'm paying 45% of my total income in income taxes, both to the state of Connecticut and to the federal government, and if you take the 3% Medicare tax. After the tax hikes go into effect next year, more than half -- more than half of my total income is going to go to the government. You tell me, what's fair about that when medieval serfs pay 25%, I'm paying half?"

He's introducing a new fairness argument here. What the hell is fair about the top 2% already paying close to half the income tax burden, and then having their income taxes go up? And he then said, "I don't care what the majority voted to do, they don't have a right to steal my money just because they vote for it."

Oh, yes, they do. That's where we are. They do have a right to your money, Mr. Schiff. That's what the election of Obama meant. That's why people voted for Obama. I am more and more convinced that the Obama voters knew what they were doing just as the voters in California, Proposition 30, knew what they were doing. Look, as long as the gravy train keeps rolling, and we've talked about this I don't know how many times, the unemployed have their unemployment extension. And, by the way, that's been proposed, a new extension for unemployment because you know what's hurting the unemployment extension? The falling unemployment rate.

Yes, Rush, like most other talk show hosts, gets his stories from the Drudge Report.

What kind of a bubble does Rush Limbaugh have to be in to have just heard about voices in the fiscal debate like Peter Schiff?

    Oh, yes, they do.
There's the rub. Rush won't admit that elections cannot grant the government legitimacy.

Limbaugh's fundamental flaw--and inherent contradiction--is his complete lack of understanding (or acknowledgment if he does understand) of how banking and commerce factor into deliberate currency debasement by the Fed, and how a completely redistribution of "nationalized" wealth occurs privately through legal tender laws and the invisible inflation tax that is not politically controlled or levied. This is not even something he considers. He really does think that there is a "free market", and no such thing as "finance welfare", even in the complete absence of deficit spending and debts incurred by the warfare/welfare state, and the taxes levied by congress that give the illusion of paying it all down.

Yes Steven, he's a hack because he can't be that dumb. He knows damn well what's going on but he dumbs down his message for his deliberately misinformed listeners.

But any mention of Schiff or Rand Paul to his 20 milllion listeners is always to be welcomed considering he used to never, ever mention Ron Paul.

I actually think he doesn't understand monetary policy and most conservatives don't.

It's true. If they did, they would understand where the original word LIBERAL came from in the first place--in a deliberate wealth-confiscation-redistribution sense--and that they may well be such a LIBERAL themselves, if they agree with this kind of systemic THEFT in principle, once they learn about it.
