    Very interesting. Apparently some of these currencies have been around since the Depression.

    Say, why is this sort of thing okay but the "Liberty Dollar" gets raided by the feds?

    Is it because these aren't backed by precious metals?

    The article says it was b/c it was coined money, instead of paper. The one time they want to use the constitution that grants Congress the right to coin money.

    Or maybe instead of physical coins someone should have do some digital coinage. Small amounts for a coin, like a bit...
