And it's all an act. Every one of these anti-gun groups supports the power of government to enforce its will on the people through force of arms. CSGV is quite explicit about it, with constant demands for a "government monopoly on force." And CSGV, the distaste for "gun violence" implied by the group's name notwithstanding, is not the least bit shy about wanting the government to use that force.
We talked about that in March, 2011. In this (approximately one minute) video clip, Professor Robert Churchill, author of To Shake Their Guns in the Tyrant's Face, suggested in a debate against Horwitz that one reason the FBI waited out the Montana Freemen in 1996, and arrested them peacefully, rather than killing them in a bloody raid, was that militias across the country had made clear to the FBI that they would retaliate by killing federal law enforcement officers (the "No More Free Wacos" doctrine). Horwitz responded by saying, "You can't think that's a good thing, right?"
