Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Oh I'm not criticizing you for cutting down a tree or anything. I'm just saying there is another way to deal with the problem. Cutting it down and replacing it with something else that causes less problems would probably be even more along the lines of permaculture (least amount of time and effort). That doesn't mean there are no other options, though.

As far as the wood itself...
incidentally you might consider using all that excess de-tree'd wood as
1) variable sized wood chips for compost and/or mulch
2) hugelkulture garden beds requiring little irrigation
3) temporary (3-4 years) fence material
4) carbon-rich biochar source

Cabrito is excellent. I would just use ordinary charcoal , in my smoker , I usually use an apple , hickory mix...
Japanese beetles suck. Like a horde of Locust.
Japanese beetles , Harry Reid and Joe Biden are probably just pre cursors of the apocalypse.....
It is an evil wild cherry weed that makes the property look ugly and will be destroyed.
oooh sweet. I would love that. Ill see what I can do. We have a good sized yard once I clear all the weeds. Id love to grow berries and all sorts of stuff.
No.
That explains a lot...
This thread is now about goats <3
Good to know. I really want a goat, so Ill know to only get a female.
Sorry, but just wanted to say that I showed DH a section of the yard I wanted cleared. Lots of small trees coming up. Can't keep them, because they're under a bigger tree, and will just end up big sticks trying to get up through the canopy of the big tree. I told him about the 4 wheel drive option - he's totally on board.

Liquid TNT is supposed to be more sensitive than NG. Chedites are a nice medium velocity option, though generally hygroscopic. (But what's not to like about something you can make from household bleach or HTH?) ANFO is a proven (and lower velocity) earth mover also and cheap! Though it's also really hygroscopic.
What's really scary is the caps... If homemade...
If you are not really rural, the neighbors will probably complain about the noise...

IF you want to kill it dead quickly drill at 3/8 inch hole in it anywhere and then drive a 3/8 inch piece of copper tubing in it about three inches long. I suppose a piece of copper wire would do the trick as well just the copper tubing has more surface area. A chemical reaction takes place and I think it turns to copper sulphate and thats what does it. Sort of like root killer in a septic tank.
