Oh, I have no Illusions about it. I doubt it is serious.

Doing so would hand the election to Romney.. He has all but promised to Bomb Iran for them.

Makes me wonder if the movement would have better success in the Democratic Party...

Remember what Ron said during the Leno appearance. The candidate perceived as the peace candidate, which Obama was in 2008, usually wins. He will attempt to look like the peace candidate again by not appearing to overtly support Israel, and by extension the wars and intervention. Jews usually vote Dem so Obama doesn't have much to lose. There's no denying that anti-Israel/anti-intervention sentiment is rising quickly.

its not the Jewish vote that is important, but their money

Obama might actually be taking a principled position here. I wonder if he will recognize Palestine after the election (win or lose he is still the president til January)

Interesting development and of course expect the neocons to jump all over this.
Of course. They have to have *something* to pretend to fight over.

Yup,, Perhaps it was just planed political theater,, Showmanship to highlight the support for Israel.
Obama has taken some flak for not Bombing them already,, and the "R"s are promising to.

Resisting the pressure to Bomb Iran was the one and only thing I liked about Obama.
