I mean WTF is he talking about?

Doesn't look like he is using a teleprompter and is basically on a stream of conciousness rant.
.... in his heart, and in his head, in his character, and in his intellect, in what he has done, and in what he will become, the Thomas Jefferson of our day, Ron Paul is one of us.

    He is an actor.
    He ain't Dirty Harry
    He ain't Josie Wales.

He is an actor. He reads lines.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

Well, he's mentioning not closing Gitmo and bringing the troops home from Afghanistan. That's something.

And it's funny because the right-wing neocons on the radio are always putting Obama down for hanging with the Hollywood types.

    LOL

I'm sure Romney will take care of both of those...snicker.

The audience seems partially confused. But they've looked confused this entire time.

I think someone just booed when he said libertarian.

Anyway, I love Clint, leave him alone.
    Welcome to the R3VOLUTION!

It's annoying the crap outta me if I can be honest.

  22. #19
He's talking to an invisible Obama in the chair, and it has actually gotten better. While he is endorsing Romney, Eastwood would have been a better choice than anyone besides Paul, and certainly is getting more sincere applause than any other speaker so far.

'We don't have to be masochists and vote for someone we don't like just becase they might be nice guys or maybe not so nice guys...' Thanks, Clint. I didn't want to vote for Romney anyway. I appreciate your permission not to.

    And he said 'libertarian', too.

    That was kinda fun.

So Eastwood was only supposed to be there for 5 mins and adlibbed his way to 10? Interesting.

What did that one person scream out at the end?

  30. #26
So DID he actually endorse Romney?

    I musta missed it.

It seemed like he was encouraging people to vote for NICE GUYS...that would be RON, of course.

  31. #27
Clint Eastwood gets more applause than Romney.

    Imagine the significance of that?

Clint is borderline senile and nearly incoherent.

Romney is just full of rhetoric.

Apparently senile and incoherent achieves more applause.

Maybe Ron Paul should run again when he truly is "too old to be President." :P

I love Clint and it probably was a good choice because probably most republicans do too. I kinda felt bad for him up there.

Pretty sure Clint Eastwood just made two antiwar jokes in front of the entire RNC. Who laughed.
