Default Movie: The world without us

What would happen should the United States leave the international scene, and become again a "normal nation", a republic, and not an empire? To find an answer to this question, director and producer Mitch Anderson embarked on an investigative trip on four continents. "The World Without US" is an in-depth investigation of how US foreign policy affects the lives of millions of people around the world. Written by Mitch Anderson Studios

"The World Without US" debates the implications and consequences of US military involvement in the world today. From an isolationist nation at the end of World War One, the US today has bases in over ninety countries. No other nation has been able to project military power as the US does today. But is such an involvement sustainable? Despite its might, the US is shrinking in terms of population and economic power in relation to the rest of the world. So, what would happen should the United States leave the international scene, and become again a "normal nation", a republic, and not an empire? To find an answer to this question, filmmakers Mitch Anderson and Jason J. Tomaric embarked on an investigative trip to twenty-one countries on four continents. "The World Without US" is an in-depth investigation of how US foreign policy affects the lives of millions of people around the world. Written by Anonymous
Anyone else see this movie? I just finished watching it on Netflix. In between interviews with different people they play mock commercials for a presidential candidate that wants to bring all of our troops home from around the world and spend more money on fixing our problems instead of other countries. The last thought the movie makers seem to leave with the viewer is that without America we would have a nuclear war between China and Japan.
    Everyone is controlled opposition.
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That last thought is dumb. There aren't any serious tensions that would lead to such a war. And neither China nor Japan are insane.

Had never heard of it. Just watched the Trailer.
Seems like not so subtle propaganda for the Status Quo.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

It is definitely pro-occupy. According to the movie the world would fall apart without us.

Wow. It's truly unbelievable the lengths people will go to protect the idea that they are literally holding together the fabric of all civility in the world. What I hate most is that the fact that this shit was even produced implies that people are going to actually take it seriously.

    +1
It's amazing how so many people can be fooled.

According the movie Saddam would have sold us oil for $10 a barrel. That was a good deal.

    It is a terrible movie.
