Romney was impressed by how Ryan has managed to successfully present himself as some sort of fiscal conservative sage, and have many conservative blogs believe it, despite all his votes including the one he made in 2008 for the TARP bailout.

The Medicare Part D extension was as bad as TARP if not worse. It's a slight degree below Obamacare which is saying something.

I agree. Romney can't be that dumb. He knows Ryan would not make the best president and he is certainly not going to bring in any new voters.

Reality: Paul Ryan's fiscal conservatism sucks.

Just what the Republicans needed, another big-spending white guy with a comb over. Talk about change. Although to be fair to Romney, I believe the part in Ryan's hair begins on the right side of his head and flows naturally to the left, while the opposite is true for Romney. I guess that's something.
